I'm using a Lexmark and it can scan to the computer. I want to know how I can scan the photos to the computer, I put the photos in the printer and I pressed the scan button but nothing is happening. Please give step by step directions starting from putting the photo's in the scanner.

Are you talking about scanning in a print?

If so, make sure your printer's drivers are valid/up to date.

Place the print on the glass FACE DOWN.
Lower the cover onto the glass.
Press Scan.
Wait for scan to be complete and approve/disapprove scanned image.
Raise cover.
Remove print.

Repeat.

Are you sure you have the unit installed properly? Check the CD that came with it and then trying uninstalling the files and reinstalling, making sure you check any options related to scanning.

there should be a glass and rays having 7 colours seens by our eyes if you press scan check where it comes and do accordingly

I would suggest going on Lexmark's web site and checking it out there.
