and if you do, then why don't people respect them? at least the vast majority of people (when they get divorce don't give a S*(&^% about them! why have them if it means nothing?

sorry, yeah I meant vows not bows, but you got the message. LOL. I'm not mad or against marriage, I just like to know what women think! ..so don't hate the player, hate the game.

wedding BOWS on the pews look beautiful i personally had the 1st 1/2 of the church done with a bow on every 3rd pew. as far as respecting BOWS noone really touched them, i believe my guests respected my bows. my MIL even saved them afterwards and they are in a box with a bunch of extra stuff from the wedding. now VOWS on the other hand; i just dont think people are careful before they get married and dont consider EVERYTHING that is going to need to go into a marriage, and once married slowly the glamour goes away from the relationship and a lot of people see that as the love being gone. If people really communicated before/during a marriage and discussed EVERYTHING that affected their spouse -having children in the future (not just how many to have, but how they will be raised) -finances (current and potential situation) COMMUNICATION and CARELESSNESS are big reasons I think marriages fail.

Wow...you really don't give up do you? What is it that you have against marriage? Cause all you've done is b*tch and grip about people getting married and how they shouldn't even bother. Give up! You're wasting your time, people will get married regardless of what you say and some will get divorced regardless of what you say. And people don't care about their wedding VOWS(not bows) because they no longer care for the person. They become null and void once you stop caring for the person, because you can no longer perform your duties as a husband or a wife, because you don't want to. And some people don't have them...or they alter them to something more sentimental. Now grow up, and move on.

It isn't a matter of not respecting the vows...what happens when you find out that your spouse has lied the entire time you've dated...many people spend their time dating as pretending to be someone they aren't, treating the other like gold, bending over backwards to make that person happy...and only after the vows are said do the true colors come out. In those situations, when all respect is gone...where is the sanctity of vows then? It happens to a lot of people now-a-days.

I like vows like wedding vows,i do cause i don't want to be married to a lot of other people if I picked just that one guy and two if we have kids too then it will get uglier. but the bows, way too girly.

I absolutely believe in my wedding vows. The reason that some people don't respect them, is because THOSE people didn't believe in theirs.
I promised to love, honor and cherish my husband...And I try to do so daily. I gave him a ring as a symbol of my unending love, and I meant then, and I mean now,for it to stay on his finger, until death do us part. I wear my ring, and show it off as often as possible...not because it's a big diamond ('cause it's not), but because it symbolizes the eternal commitment I have made with my life partner.

yes, i do. i feel like if you say it you should mean it. i don't understand why people get in front of their friends and family, say their vows and then get divorced? people don't have the same morals and values as they used to. don't get married if you can't stand by what you say

VOWS I believe in. Bows are ugly.
Why are all your questions so angry? You had such nice poetry... then got mad.

Wedding bows are pretty, but I'm really not the frilly type. I'd prefer plain ribbon over bows.
