bone dry and coasted into station it took 15 us gallons for my 89 wagon same as my 79 245 89 is automatic w/ od and gets approx 26 miles/gallon the 79 is a 4 spd car and gets about 22-24 mpg. if you are interested in keeping it alive for a long time check out ipd usa . com. the sway bars and chassis bracesshocks lowering springs etc all do as claimed , and make the 2 series a blast to drive; also have a 79 242 that i built for my daughter with all this and more. the people at ipd live and breath volvo so try them out
