Currently a Congregationalist; looking to find something that is traditional in service and music. Strong Christian Ed for two young boys important. Not having much luck with the larger churches around. OK with going to another denomination; just not sure which one is right for us. Thanks!!

While I don't agree with some of the liberalism in either denomination (and I'm a member of the ELCA), I would suggest either an Episcopal (Anglican) church or Lutheran, ELCA. They're still fairly tradtional in service, though some ELCA churchs have contempory services, which vary from church to church. (Ironic, really. They still do the traditional service from the traditional worship book, but for contemporary services, they're more independant in style. I just fully realized that.) Also, thumb through the phone book and look at any sites that a church might have before going to a service. It might take a couple of visits to really decide on a church, but sometimes, one is enough. I've visited churches where it was obvious I was a visitor and barely got looked at. I've visited churches where it was obvious I was a newcomer and continued with that church. Also, look at the denomination's national site, if it is a local church.

If you don't mind the drive, try Concord Missionary Baptist Church In Resaca, Ga. (Appx 40 miles from Kennesaw depending where you live there) You can check it out on their web site @ ConcordMissionaryBaptistChurch.org. It is an old fashion Baptist Church. Our prayers go out to you because it is so difficult to have to leave one church and go to another. Their singing is wonderful and I think you would be happy there!

I can't remember the name of it right now... It's on Hawkins Store Road which runs between Bells Ferry Road and Canton Hwy. Right at I-575.

I know they have school there. Dang it... I'm sorry... It's right past the QuikTrip and a day care.

Oh not a christian but my brother's family use to go there at one time.
