Matthew 24:9
"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
Matthew 5:10

I am sorry that you were insulted for your beliefs. I think you are probably a very nice person. The only time I will make negative comments to people about their religion is when they go to questions that do not concern them and they begin condemning others for their beliefs. As far as homosexual clubs being allowed in schools so are many Christian clubs. As long as one keeps their belief to themselves there should be no problem. But just as I feel it is wrong to force prayer in school, so is telling people they cannot pray and take a silent moment for themselves. And I think in most place that IS allowed.
I will never tell you that your particular religious belief is wrong, but it is a 2 way street, the same consideration and respect should be given to those who do not believe as you. And as long as you don't profess your belief in God while refuting questions by those who are asking about alternate religions I will not insult you! In essence, I will not cast the first stone!

First you say this..
"People say that I’m wasting my time looking for something that doesn’t even exists…..well I happen to think that your wasting your time trying to convince me that something doesn’t exists when in fact I know there is a God.
Then you say this...
You believe in what you choose to believe in and I will do the same and leave it at that. don’t insult my intelligence just because you don’t believe.
Dont you see the hypocrisy there?? First you say you know that god exists, then you say that you choose to believe god exists... cant you see the distinction between the two concepts? You dont KNOW god exists, I dont KNOW god doesnt exist... You BELIEVE he does, I BELIEVE he does not. The problem arises when believers and non-believers claim to be in possession of the absolute KNOWLEDGE that proves one way or the other the existence of god to be fact or fiction. Either statement gets me fired up because not a single one of us can TRUTHFULLY say I KNOW. None of us KNOW anything, all of us are entitled to BELIEVE what we want to. That is the single truth of the matter, people will never stop insulting one another until we all admit our own ignorance and and stop categorizing beliefs as knowledge.

The problem is that there is'nt mutual respect between christians and non-believers. Each think the other is ignorant for believing in what they do. Taking prayer out of schools was all about not pressuring christianity on people. It was not about persecuting christians. Kids HAVE to go to school. You dont have to go to a homosexual night club. Being in america, you have the freedom to choose your religion therefore it is very diverse. Name a religious group that is not being persecuted by another. HAha... kinda sounds like gangs.

I'm sorry if you are being persecuted for your beliefs. I'm not a Christian, but I believe that all religions (or lack of) should be respected. Christianity's image in the media (depending on which news outlets you listen to) could be better. However, I think the main problem is that we, as humans, tend to judge whole groups based on the few extreme and radical members. Until people become more enlightened, just remember, other people's actions are not a reflection of you.

Too much.
I think they said Christian a whole bunch of times. I would say Christian.
My answer to your question is this.....I was brought up Baptist. I was pressured everyday. I was a sin filled child and was going to burn in hell all the time. This could have been because i didn't want to eat my veggies. This was also not instilled in me by my parents. My grandmother took me to church and this is how the church treated me. Guess what....no more religion for me. I keep faith in myself, family and friends. Those are the only people that should be judging me anyway. I trust in them. Not in a false or cruel god. Now i know not all religions are like that. But if the one that i was forced to believe in for so long was so false, then why would i choose to believe in another? Just MY thoughts. But i will not insult you or anyone else of another religion UNLESS I myself have been insulted by them, or all they can do is rant at someone for not believing in their god.
Take care, and have a stress free day!
PS. Prayer in school and gay clubs have nothing to do with each other. I know lots of gays that pray to your god. They love your god. They are good people, with not an ounce of sin in them. I think you are a stereotypical christian that has many sins in you.

Wow, take it easy pal. It's nice that you believe in God, and that your faith leads you to feel the presence of God. However, not everybody feels that way. People should be happy with their own beliefs and not try to force their beliefs on others. Also, people will insult others for any kind of believe, religious, political, social, etc. As long as you follow the golden rule, don't worry about it. Insulting people of any persuasion are just ignorant.

It was done unto Jesus and now it will be done unto you. Thats why! Just wanted to add a comment: Jesus and GOD aren't bad to anyone the problem with the world today is that humans are in control. Thats why children are killing themselves and people are depressed, because we as humans can handle it all on our own. 2 timothy-3:1-4 But remember this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of GOD. Pretty good prediction wouldn't you agree?

You can only be as insulted as you allow yourself to be. Stop caring what people think and live your life. Just because I think Christianity is a crock doesn't mean I can't sleep at night knowing that there are people who believe in the concept whole heartily. When you come to an outlet like this one you should expect to be challenged.

Quit using absolutes when speaking about the Bible...You are not the ultimate authority on scripture, so you should never say that homosexuality is a sin, etc.... You can say, it is your belief that homosexuality is a sin...but, plain and simple, that it all it is..your belief, based on your opinion of interpretation of scripture.
So, quit trying to pass off your opinion of interpretation of scripture as absolute fact...share from your heart your convictions and your beliefs...and then listen to others....and respect will be had all the way around.
Peace.

I completely agree. They assume that all christians are like the few that bother them. That's stereotyping. We can believe what we want without hurting them. Just because some christians hurt them doesn't mean they all do. And that is just a small percentage. The percentage is way higher for the amount of them hurting us.
You said it perfect. Anyone who bad talks you should sit in the corner! lol
additional details:
i put "lol" because i was being silly on that last sentence, don't take it too litteraly.
