Seriously, are people that sad as to call me a moron for this? I'm a Jew and we aren't supposed to write the whole thing.
And also, why wont the atheists just answer a question? If I ever ask a serious question they will just tell me how stupid I am for my beleifs.

The words G-d and L-rd (Adonai) are often written by many Jews as G-d and L-rd as a way of avoiding writing a name of G-d, as to avoid the risk of the sin of erasing or defacing the name.
Plus its just respectful.

The previous question was about who defines good and evil, if not for G-d?
And I apologize if its asked often, thats not my fault.

I imagine it bothers them because they see an "o" as easy to write as a "-" and, misunderstanding the reason behind it, assume it to be disrespectful rather than the opposite. Christians don't believe our word for "God" is His actual name--just a way of speaking about Him in our language.
Some Atheists will answer questions seriously, but many are on this site just to rant and rave. I find it a bit humorous, actually. Why spend so much emotion and energy to rant and rave against something that you believe doesn't even exist?! They seem to feel that people of faith are somehow a threat to their Godless existence. Psychologists recognize that the name-calling and judgment is a way of avoiding meaningful discussion of the subject at hand and deflecting a perceived threat. I've seen this from both "Atheists" and "believers."
Blessings.

The dash looks *really* silly - though I wouldn't give you a hard time over it, you shouldn't be too surprised that other will.
I don't know what your question was, but are you sure it wasn't a stupid one? Especially one that gets asked 20 times a day?

(edit) I see that you recently asked 'Atheists. If there is no G-d, who decides what is good or bad?' That's a stupid question, because you could have looked up the answers to that same question, which is asked hundreds of times a week, and usually gets a ribald response for that reason.

It may be a tradition, but you should try seeing from someone else's perspective. You'll see that it looks sort of silly to be afraid to say or write the name of a god that most people do not believe exists.
Like many other surviving elements of modern religion, it is just a holdover from an ancient superstition.

I have known Jewish people and I have never heard that they are forbidden from writing out the word God. Why, when a Jewish person is published is the word God written out? I would like to hear more about this. I would hate to ask a Jewish person and find out that you are goofing on me.

I wouldn't berate you. You are simply following the practices that you have been taught. Respect.

If you are told that by us, it is usually an indication that you asked an absurd question that has already been asked 50,000 times before. Either that or you missed 12 years of science class in school and you want us to explain it in three sentences.

Isn't his name Yahweh, or YHWH and not god? God is a generic description, that's not his name, so why be afraid to type it out?
Sorry, but not being able to write something out seems superstitious
