My friend prayed for a helpmate and then she met the love of her life. The problem is the love of her life is a woman. We asked the Pastor and he said that the devil can also answer prayers. My question is:
If the devil can answer prayers how do I know who is answering my prayers.

The devil cannot answer prayers, because he does not know what will happen in the future, only God does. So if your friend is truly happy in her relationship, it was indeed God who answered her prayers, because he knew that she would be happy with that very person, and he does everything to make his children happy.
If your friend truly loves that woman she loves her soul, not just body, and all the verses in the Bible which seemingly condem homosexuality talk about is sexual lust not love, but the Bible also condems sexual lust when it comes to straight people.
Only God can bless someone with feelings as beautiful as love, whilst lust IS probably devil's work, hope this helps :)

Just because you pray for something doesn't mean you're going to get it ask any 9 year old kid who prays for a bicycle.
God never said you'd get anything you want via prayer..just what you need.
The devil doesn't answer prayers but he knows you and he knows your weakness and what it takes to make you stray away from the light. If your friend's biggest hang up was being alone then he'd know how to use that.

That pastor is insane. A prayer to God cannot be answered by the Devil. You will know that God has answered prayers because you will feel a certain peace and a sense of acceptance. Many times, answers to our prayers are not what we expected or what we wanted, but are what is best for us.

The devil does not answer your prayers. the devil listens to your prayers and he does sneaky things to get you off the right track. it can get very confusing, but all you have to remember is that God will never answer a prayer with something that is wrong , sinful or steers you away from him.
when god answers your prayers it will be with something that goes with what he believes and be backed up by the bible. you will always feel peace inside.

The Devil will all ways try to influence you to do wrong things.The Devil doesn't answer prayers and is afraid of anything that is right and holy so just remember that.

When God answers prayers, the answer won't be something he's already said we can not do. For instance, he'll never tell you the way to get money you need is to steal it. Satan on the other hand will often tell you something you should know is wrong is right and is the answer you were looking for.

The devil can not answer prayers. The devil can try to tempt and confuse us. Your friend is headed down the wrong path and she is being tempted by the devil. She needs to resist this temptation. Try to help her see the error of her ways. If something comes your way that you know is surely sinful, then it certainly is not the Lord answering your prayers!

if it conflicts with the Bible and what God wants, says, etc then it had something to do with the devil but i have never heard and dont believe that he can answer prayers! he does everything in his power to oppose God and he always will! you just have to trust God! continue to pray for this person and God will answer in whatever way is best for his ultimate plan! good luck and God bless!â¥

It is true that satan can hear our prayers. but he can not answer your prayers. Since Satan knew what your friend was looking for he deceived her.
When I pray I feel more then I listen, I feel for a sence of peace. Satan doesn't know peace so he can not mimick the feeling.

Satan can't answer a prayer to God, maybe if you prayed to Satan.
but how would God sending you a helpmate who is not biblically correct a answer from God?
if something does not line up with Gods word then it is not from God.
you can chose that in your life but it's not God putting a Amen on it.
