They don't really know right from wrong. Those who are hasty in determining God's existence are not wise enough to make important decisions for thier lives or for others. But they still do make decisions and hasty, insulting remarks. Can we take them serious or listen to them when they behave this way? How can we take them serious if they are sarcastic, negative and resort to name calling?
I would take them more serious if they said nothing and just avoided church, worship, peace, or loving one another. THAT would show that they aren't interested in God.

We don't believe in "sin". That is a religious word. We do believe in good and bad.
Good: Something that helps to make the lives of people better, and does not harm people or society.
Bad: Something that hurts people, or makes people's lives or society worse as a whole.
It's really not that hard to figure out. If someone believes that there IS a God and that God gave us brains, intelligence, and common sense, then it really is an insult to God to insinuate that we can't figure out all on our own the difference between good and bad.

you aren't any more "doing incorrect" through no longer believing in God, i'm an atheist for no different reason than because it is genuine. I evaluate myself an Atheist till now I evaluate myself a human being. it is in basic terms as wide-spread. the element is there are good atheists and undesirable atheists. There are good believers and undesirable believers. yet very few atheists kill interior the call of atheism. curiously even if discrimination hostile to atheists (frequently noted as atheophobia) is somewhat authentic. In some Islamic international places, atheists face discrimination mutually with lack of criminal status or possibly a demise sentence interior the case of apostasy. How fortunate we are to stay in a rustic that permits us to criticise it. They carry forth their faith at you, Christians are gatherers. even even if "God gave me loose will". respect God and allow me be Atheist. to make sparkling, i do not hate the Godly. I in basic terms dislike how Christians tend to be gatherers. give up attempting to 'convert'. YOUR God gave loose will.

Because there are social moral codes that have been in existence long before your bible was written. Most of it comes down to common sense. If I do this, will it hurt someone? If the answer is yes, I don't do it. This goes for financial hurt and emotional hurt as well.
As for sin, I don't believe in it. I believe you can do something bad, but sin is a man made concept, and many of the things you call "sin" I see no problem with, such as homosexuality.

Are you saying that the ONLY thing keeping you from breaking the law, murdering people, raping, stealing, and cheating friends....is hearing religious dogma?
Humans are social animals. That means we live in communities and work together. We also have primal survival drives. So it's inevitable that I'll want to do the following: 1) make the best for myself, 2) make the best for my friends and loved ones (because their welfare ultimately affects #1), and 3) care for my community and surroundings (because they affect #1 and #2).
I do not need a book to tell me that throwing rocks at somebody or robbing a bank will most likely lead to undesirable results on my end. Ethics does not demand a boogey man.
Ironically, a look at the Crusades, Inquisition, Salem Witch Trials, and 9/11 shows that belief in God is hardly a guarantee of good ethical behavior.

Atheists have a moral compass just as any human being does. We know if we hurt another person or not. It doesn't take religion to figure that out. I don't get this line of questioning EVER. My husband is an atheist and is bringing up a child, my stepson, who is also an atheist and he seems to be doing a pretty good job. Open your mind and the rest will follow.

There are many people on this planet who are not Christians and who are also not Atheists, yet they manage to survive and live happy and very productive lives. The entire country of Japan springs to mind, with one of the lowest crime rates per capita, and barely a bible in sight.
Christian arrogance is the only thing keeping your rancid faith going.

Sin is an offense to a deity. Nothing is a sin, because there's no deity to offend.
Morality is goal-based. The goals are chosen by Self, Tribe, Others, and Us. Empathy and altruism arise from evolutionary pressure -- they are evolutionarily advantageous to the species.
So are you saying that without your Bible and God, you'd go rape, kill, and steal at will?
If so, believe, and believe well. Let your leash and collar of faith remind others of the price of blind obedience, and show what a monster you would be without such restraint.
I will be good without having to be threatened.
