Christians have the spirit of God within them to discern and direct them. That is why one is not shaken when things happen. That before they were saved made them fearful or uncomfortable. The Holy spirit comforts and regulates the mind of man.Renew his mind body and spirit. Makes him think the way the Lord thinks. He is a teacher,we learn through trial and error.Then if we stick with the word of God and have faith,we overcome not only our weakness but help others through our tribulation experiences. We are known through are testimony how God works in our lives. The voice does speak and it will keep you up at times you want to rest. God said the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak...pray for endurance and wisdom regarding this issue.

You have the Holy spirit within you when you ask it to dwell with you. This requires the repentance of sin and asking for and receiving forgiveness from God ie- becoming a Christian. The Holy Spirit only dwells withing those who let Him in. How to hear it? Listen. He may speak to you in words of other people, through the bible, or through actions. You just need to know how to read it. Pray.

Within us. Pray and ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. God said, "My sheep hear My voice." If you belong to God, you have the Holy Spirit within you and you can hear His voice.

God is the energy that causes all things to exist,so the all knowing,all powerful,and ever present,can't be separated.We exist within God as much as God exists' in us. As to communicating with said power,you must first deal with the truth,and empty yourself of all you know in your heart to be wrong.Would you rest in a dirty house,on a dirty bed?
Nor can you expect a higher power to rest in you if you are unclean. But as long as you search for the spirit within,what you find will become the flesh.Listen to your heart,do what is right for righteousness' sake,and God will show himself to you.But will you be ready to see?

We are composed of the spirit of the universal creator and to quietly look inward and listen is all one needs to do to make contact.
