i need to get his booking number thing so i kan write to him and i know how to do it on county jails but not for a prisin

Most states post the inmate's number on the state's DOC website. There's a link called "Inmate information", which tells you where the inmate is held and their DOC number.
However, if that inmate is a convicted sex offender and you're a minor, you would not be allowed to write to him per state laws.

Call the prison where he is and see what their policy and hurdles are you will have to overcome to write the inmate. Some may just require the name.
