I live in the house for half a year as a legal tenant but under verbal agreement with my three little children. My landlord doesn't feel anymore that I am welcome and he gave me notice two weeks. He signed me a letter for housing council in the past and I am receiving it still. I put a phone line in the house for my name for what I'm paying.
Every week I was paying him 165£ in hand.
Shall I still pay him or just move out? Or maybe change the locks and squat? But what about the kids? Can he throw me then using force or police?
I am scared I do not have enough money and do not know what to do. Where can I report it and get help?

Why on Earth did you take out a verbal agreement? Are you new to the country? It sounds like you've been throroughly ripped off by the bloke, who knows it's going to be incredibly difficult for you to prove you have any legal right to be there.

I'd move out asap. BTW £165 a week cash in hand is expensive.

first of all get down to your local citizens advice bureau they can give advice better than anyone here. would not advise squatting because personally i don't think that would do your kids any good. if you have kids and are homeless you will be put at the top of the priority list and should get another place pretty quickly, cant you shack up with your parents ar family or Friend's for a bit? and if your landlord has acted unfairly then i would just get out a.s.ap and not give him another penny!

Privet!
if you have another place to go move out. If you want to squat he cant just throw you out like that. If you leave the property unoccupied at any time then he can enter it to take possession but if there is always somebody in the house he cannot enter and throw you out without being charged with assault. He can obtain a court order to evict you and then throw you out with police assistance but that takes a while!
