1. You can wrap the area in an ace brandage.

2. 1/4 , get a pill cutter, can get one at walmart, target, drug store. cut the pill in half and then cut that half in half, crush it and place in food. Or get liquid form and measure it with the dropper included in with it.

I would call around to some of the vets in your area and explain your situation. You sound really upset about your kitty - and if you can plead your case they may be able to work something out for you.

Are there any animal shelters in your area? You might want to give them a call and see if they can recommend anything.

Even if the kitty is not acting upset or hurt - except when you pick him up - there could be serious internal injuries. It sounds like someone intentionally injured the kitty - based on the description because usually in a fight they come back with cuts etc.

I high encourage to make some additional calls, plead with your mom...do something. The kitty is hurting - and that's not fair to the animal.

Good Luck!

Call the vet. Talk to the veterinarian himself. Tell his staff it really is important. Describe the symptoms. Tell him your circumstances, and ask him for advice.

Ask: 1) What the differential diagnosis is (that is, how bad could it be)? 2) What you can do to help your cat (if he is in pain, what can you do to relieve the pain -- and DO NOT give the cat anything for pain unless the vet tells you it is okay, as some human pain medications can kill cats); 3) Is there someplace or someone or some organization that can help you out by examining your cat or giving you some free care? 4) If, in the veterinarian's judgment, the situation is potentially serious enough to REQUIRE veterinary care, would he speak to your mother and encourage her to let you bring the animal in? or 5) (I have actually done this when I could not afford a vet) If you brought your cat in, would he let you pay him by cleaning cages in his office and helping out for a week? (You said you don't have a job. Well, this could lead to a good one.)

Good luck. And thank you for being so caring and responsible.

Try an animal shelter in your area. They usually have a vet there - call first, but your cat definitely sounds like it has gotten hurt. He needs to see someone who can help him. If he's bruised, there may be bleeding internally.

Explain to the person you speak with at the shelter that you don't have alot of money, and maybe if they only charge a small fee that you can afford, it may work, but take him to see someone.

Take him or her to the vet he is always your best source . Beg your mom to please take him to the vet . I dont understand parents who let their kids have animals and then dont want to take them to the vets . I think you should have your vet talk to your mom and let her know that animals do need vets . I dont understand ppl sometimes . but do beg your mom to take the cat to the vet . Or maybe you should call a rescue and have them come take the cat because that would be the kindest thing cause mom does not have the money to take care of animals . good luck .

Go to Petco.com. They have a lot of rememdies online. It says do not give your cat aspirin. might call a vet and ask what to give for pain. Baby motrin or something.
