The article also says they it's not certain that Tony Raines will be back in 2008 either. So, If they dump Tony.. What 2 drivers would they go after!? They don't have a BUSCH driver.... I think it'd be crazy to dump Tony after this year. I've heard that Jason Leffler and Marcos Ambrose are both in consideration. But I don't know if their BUSCH contracts would let this happen. Anyone else hear any names or have any good guesses!?

... No, Marcos Ambrose drives for Tad Geschickter, and it's a FORD. Gibbs stable is Chevrolet powered... And as for Gibbs giving Leffler another shot.. It's not up to Joe, It's up to Troy and Roger. If they wanted Jason, and Gibbs thought it was that big of a deal.. H.O.F. could just turn to Hendrick or RCR for backing.. and probably get it.

I'm just curious if Boris Said is going to be fielding a team next year. If he isn't why not get him to drive a second car? The guy is a good race car driver when given the chance. Tony will stay in the car, but I would like to see Bobby Labonte back in a Chevrolet. Hall of Fame Racing has a lot of Texans in charge and Labonte would fit in right away.

I think they should add a driver and KEEP Tony. He's been very solid, especially driving for a brand new team. Tony has kept that car high enough in the points so that they haven't had to worry about whether they will race or not. I'm sure they will be talking to Kyle but will probably not be able to sign him. If Kyle were to go to RCR they could go after Scott Wimmer. If Kyle goes somewhere else Scott will probably go to RCR's 4th team it's rumored they're adding. If JJ Yeley gets the boot from Gibbs he would also probably get a call from Troy and Roger. Maybe Paul Menard, daddy is taking his sponsorship away from DEI and reported to be partnering with Robby Gordon again. Robby isn't looking to expand to 2 teams right now so that might leave Paul out there and at DEI. Ambrose would be a good prospect but I think Ford might have him wrapped up in a long term contract.

As far as Tony I think he will return no prob. For a new car I wouldn't be surprised to see "Texas Terry" start the season for them, after all he did it for the 96. 5 or 6 races so they don't fall into to a big hole starting out but after that I really don't have a guess.

If J.J. Yeley does not get an extension on his contract, and I really don't think he will, then he will be looking for a ride. I could see them going after Yeley, because he will sign for less money. He is still young and has shown some potential.

Doesn't Ambrose drive for Gibbs?

Hof is in co-hoost with Gibbs. So It just sound like it's Ambrose. Gibbs gave Leffler a chance...I would be shocked if he gets another one.
