A career is to be adopted by a person to suit his/her natural aptitude and not by todays craze like choosing fashion as to clothes / hairstyle etc. You have take care of what you are worth .
Engineering is a sirious kind of profession . If you are considering best career is the career which will fetch maximum salary or you can make lot of money with ease , engineering is not for you . You may consider to adopt a career in some other field which will lead you to CEO position early . This may be harsh to say but I have tell the truth so that you escape mistake in choosing a career

Engineering sucks. Stay away from it. You will sit on your *** all day and stress over budgets and schedules. Then, you will go to a lot of stressful meetings with a group of stressed out assholes. You wanna do that for 35 years? It is VERY stressful which is ok when you're young. But, after about 15 or 20 years, you will be sick of it. So.... Have fun!!!

I think mechanical engineering is the best....because I'm one obviously! In my opinion ME is the best because you'll be somewhat an all-rounder and you can do a wider variety of jobs and of-course you can specialise as well.
Having said that, EEE is quite good as well, in-fact its got excellent employment oportunities in various fields incl. IT.
I have heard that Industrial engineering is also hot, but I don't know more about it than I do the rest.

Just about any engineering field is good. Electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, are all excellent career fields.

RailRoad Engineering may not be so hot. Smile but minning is tops also.
