If you're poor and in need, why can't you take money out of the offering plate? Does the pastor need the money to go to Hometown Buffet after the service?

What makes me more sad than angry about the mainstream Christian church is that it is so tainted by pagan customs and traditions that it no longer resembles what Christ had intended when He left detailed instructions for His Apostles to teach to all who believed.

The fact that "religion" has more to do with the church is enough to become upset about. When Jesus was sent here by His Father to bring the message of the "Good News" or Gospel, I don't think He intended it to become another thing that the world could squabble over. The Muslims think they're right, the Baptist think they're right, The Catholics think that they're right and so on and so on. Until the truth of Christianity has been taken so deeply through the muddle of each "religion's" ideologies that the truth that the Apostles taught isn't even recognizable and therefore the Church looses its original purpose. That purpose isn't to see who's church is right or better, but to lead the flock to the LORD! Which is what the Apostles did with the early church. There was no need to have a demomination or to make it into a religion, but in it's pure form of worshiping and following the LORD to His Father.

God Bless You

Being a rest. mgr. I enjoy all the people who just got out of church who are angry and upset about everything, I would have thought that they would be more tolerant of other people and difficult situations. Usually the bigger the hat and the more purple the suit the bigger the problem. example " everytime I come here my food is messed up and the waiter doesn't refill my tea!" The key word is "everytime" if it is allways bad, why would you continue to go? blah blah blah, I rant.

People who are there "paying lip service" when in fact their hearts are far from God...judging the pastor, the dating practices or the large hats of some women.

What confuses me and angers me is how these people act. They act like God is the end-all be-all, like he's the only thing that matters in the world. And then they act like anyone who doesn't believe the same thing as them is either wrong or stupid? Why do people act this way? Maybe I missed something, only been in a church 3 times...

What bothers me is that pastors' sermons always sound like lectures, and like their way is the only way. A "my way or the highway" situation. And sometimes in churches it seems like they expect you to be happy in all situations, no matter what--so when I became anorexic/depressed, I felt like a sinner just for being sad!

All the land they own and don't pay taxes on. A church/university in Philly, owns at least 15 square blocks, they pay no property tax, but we have to pay to maintain the area.
The lack of actual charity.

Why are there so many different beliefs when the Bible clearly says there should only be one...

Ephesians 4:4-6
4There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

How the catholic church instead of defrocking child molesting priests, keeps moving them from parish, to parish, to parish, feeding them fresh victims.... and then expects the faithful to pay for their defense in the collection plate when they are caught.

Also how they judge your faith by how much you leave in the collection plate.

How they tell us it's our "moral duty" to vote for certain political candidates.

That we will rot in hell for even considering a different view than what is preached.

I know atheists that are more christian than most of the religious zealots in my parish.

People being led blindly by faith, which is supported by their Pastors. It's this droning that goes on during a sermon that makes me sleepy.

When people have eyes that are blind they are misled much more easily.
