Does your Pastor ever preach on sins, Hell, the devil, living a righteous life before God, Being a Godly example to otheres, being seperated from the world? If he/she never preaches on these subjects and more they are doing you a great disservice. They are the ones spoken of in Revelation that they will preach a soft gospel, one that is pleasing to the ears.
I pray that they all get some boldness and teach their people about the truth

The reason I ask this is, I am always reading on here any time you say anything against "grace and love as we see it" the majority of people get mad and say it is all about love.

Our pastor does preach the things you mention and more. He feels convicted to share what the Word of God reveals to him upon that pulpit. And this annointing flows through him to us, edifying the body of Christ. Even for spirit-filled Christians, the flesh doesn't always want to hear what the spirit craves. The "soft gospel" appeases our carnality but it doesn't nourish our spirits. The battle is constant, but God provides a way for us to gain victory over the flesh. And that is through surrender and repentance to Jesus. Through Him and only Him, our spiritual eyes awaken to things of God and want more as we grow in Christ.

May God Bless you abundantly!

Brother Stone,

Amen one of the reasons I disliked my fellowship back east because they "made nice" to those people that purposly sinned and they were not required to be held accountable for thier sins not only what they did but what they failed to do.Nor did they go before the church and ask forgiveness for what they did. As far as they are concerened they were forgiven and that was "enough" for them.

A true anionted preacher of the word will say it like it is and realize it is not just about grace and love it is about rebuke accounablity and being in the word and being a meat of the word Christian, it is being accountable and resposnbile for your actions and not expect God to cover your backside when you enter into the realm of sin and lust when you should know better Romans 6 whole chapter.

Luke 6:26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you because that is how they treated the false prophets.

Our pastor preaches Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected and he preaches the true gospel his gifting is not mercy but he has the anionting of the Holy Spirit because he is not afraid what people think He is concerned about the great commison NOT his OWN commision. I have been greatly convicted since I have come to this church and that is a sign if a Pastor is anionted he tells the truth even when the truth hurts and that he is willing to sit under accountability at church.

Too many churches are into postive thinking and the 12 steps and the prosperity gospel when the main purpose should be the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ equpping the saints for ministry and reading and applying the Bible and being accountable,
pastors that fall into sin do so because no one is holding them accountable.

Thank you for posting Brother Stone E4G

My pastor is well respected in our community. He preaches even when the message isn't easy for everybody to swallow. He is concerned about the soul, not what the individual thinks about him. He lives a life of love and grace, but he's not afraid to call sin sin. He's not too prideful to admit when he is wrong, either. Also, he is very particular about who is behind the pulpit when he's gone or we have an evangelist or missionary. He doesn't want a watered-down Gospel in the church that God has trusted him to pastor. I've heard many times from members and guests alike that we are blessed to have him and his family.

My pastor (the sr. pastor) has been preaching a series on the Beatitudes and Recovery. It's been awesome.

When he's on vacation, Pastor Rob preaches. And Pastor Rob preaches Hell, Fire & Brimstone.

So Pastor Scott keeps us traveling the right road and Pastor Rob makes sure the stragglers all come back to the right road.

I have a great pastor who is concerned for our souls. He preaches on everything you mentioned and does so boldly but he does add humour and warmth to the service too. He is 100% avaliable for any of us at any time and we have a very large congregation.
I know where you're coming from. I have seen those pastors on TV who only preach love and kindness but being a Christian is much more than that.
I imagine you would be a great pastor!

Brother, my Pastor preaches on all everything you listed. My pastor is very bold and preaches exactly that God tells him to preach, if our toes get stepped on, so be it. I would not have it any other way!!

My pastor preaches/teaches about choices & consequences; he likes to encourage us, but he always says, "We serve a God of choices."

(How's your little grand daughter? She's still in my prayers.)

"Ephraim he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned. Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth it not. And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the Lord their God, nor seek him for all this" Hosea 7:8-10

A cake not turned will be burned on one side and raw on the other; that is what is happening to this doctrine of love and forgiveness. We need to find a balance here that will provide us with both judgment and forgiveness.

My pastor preaches the entire Bible, not just love and grace.
