Non-Christians, do you ever wonder why, OH WHY, we continue to try to be nice to Christians and try to explain our point of view? Do you ever think that it would be better if we just started to totally ignore them? I am getting to that point with the small percentage of Christians who simply are here to judge others and feel good about it. Christians - why do you need to be so judgemental? Where is your SCRIPTURAL AUTHORITY to judge NON-Christians? Chapter and verse, please.

Joey G. I really appreciate your answer and to clarify - I have a degree in Christian Theology and Pastoral Counseling. I have worked in 3 different churches and have been part of many Christian ministries.

I left Christianity the Sunday after 9/11 when the pastor said from the pulpit that Muslims "deserved to burn in hell," and that God would "judge them more harshly than they thought they did America."

I cannot abide the thought that a Christian - any Christian - is so arrogant to think that their faith is the only way. I cannot fathom where Christians get the idea that they have the call to judge anyone outside of Christianity.

Am I angry - you bet your butt I am. And with good cause.

Until Christians understand that their tactics are UNCHRISTLIKE, they cannot represent the faith they believe in. It's the Christian people I cannot abide as they destroy the beautiful faith they have been given.

Set foot in another church - only at my dad's memorial service.

I am a Christian, but all of those so-called Christians who have nothing better to do all day but judge others do almost make me bang my head on the wall :)

I am sorry that the Christians around you do that. There is no Scripture that says to judge non-Christians there is a Scripture that talks about Christians keeping each other accountable.

I wish they would shhow you more love because that is what we are called to do. So I send you a hug and hope that God's love surrounds you. Tell your friends how you feel in a polite way, they are probably not aware...

I am not a religious person. I strongly believe in God but i detest religion and am sure God does too. However they have the right to believe as they wish. Let them Judge all they want !!! what do you care what they think?? They obviously don't get it if they are judging you. its against their own religion. I let say anything they want and just sit back and smile say ok i respect your opinion. It is pointless to argue or even expect rational behavior from such an emotional issue. You are right nobody has the right to judge anyone but its not your place or mine to condem them either is it? Let them judge and if there is a hell im sure i'll see them there! *lol*

All I can say is "Thank God not all Christians are like those on these answer boards!!!!"

Many of the Christians I know in my town are open and accepting of my belief (Judaism).
There are a few that still try to "save" me (save me from what, I still don't know!).

But overall - it seems as if there is more intolerance here on the Yahoo! Answer board than in the real world.

You're saying that we judge?
You probably won't even see our point of veiw. I mean really see it, not just understand the concept.
We're not trying to judge, we just want to point out, that what we're doing, all of us (christians and non) are doing is wrong. It's hard for me to explain online, so take up one of you christian friends on an offer to go to church. Just see our point of veiw, and remember that alot of chriatians have already experianced your point of veiw first hand, and chose the christain one.

There, but for the grace of there not being a god, go I. Most of us started out mired in faith. In many ways all I need to do to understand them is to remember holding similar beliefs.

Some are particularly hateful. I can't even begin to understand this guy:

Why beat your head against a wall? "cause it feels so good when you stop.
“Intelligence is the capacity to receive, decode and transmit information efficiently. Stupidity is blockage of this process at any point. Bigotry, ideologies etc. block the ability to receive; robotic reality-tunnels block the ability to decode or integrate new signals; censorship blocks transmission.” - R.A.W.

why? If someone chooses to believe, that's their issue. I let it be known that I don't savvy religion, so folks don't push it.

wrt to your last question, the crux of Xtianity is to preach the Word. To be a good Xtian requires testifying to the unbelievers their belief in Christ, etc. etc.

No point in giving myself an unnecessary head injury. I know their behaviors and opinions arise due to their own set of causes and conditions and some you just can't change. It's just the way things go.
