I am currently a receptionist at a car dealership but i'm getting ready to leave in a week and what i really want to do is type. I have been typing since middle school and i am now almost 25. I can type 80-85wpm with great accuracy. Whether its a work at home job or a job i have to drive to all i want to do is type. I am having a really hard time finding a job like this. Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction?

Go to a lawyers office. They need smart, accurate, fast typers.

They are continually sending correspondence, writing up court documents, etc. Otherwise you could look into data entry type jobs. Ususally medical transcription or telecom have a lot of data entry for billing and programming phone lines.

As computers become more ingrained in business operations, there are fewer and fewer straight typing jobs out there. And the old standby of typing term papers or dissertations for a fee is pretty much gone for the same reason. You need to broaden your job goals.

You can do transcription work from home or as an employee. Some companies employ staff and others only use independent contractors that work from home. I love typing too, I'm a virtual assistant who works from home doing secretarial work and transcription as well.
