It only matters to God, shnitle, and that's between you and God. The rest of us are dust in the wind.

On a purely practical, logical level, the more people anyone has slept with, the greater the chances, statistically, that they've contracted something, no matter how "clean" they THINK they are.
On a psychological level, guys are uncomfortable with the idea for three basic reasons: 1, the ol' "good girls don't" cultural delusion, 2, not wanting any guys THEY know (or might run into while out with you) to have known YOU "that way," and 3, worry that at least some of those other guys have been, well, bigger or better in bed.
I didn't say they were *reasonable* reasons! :-)

Why would you even tell people how many men/women you slept with. People have a tendency to judge others so if someone asks say "my past is not your business" and leave it at that. MEN have a huge habit of asking, being told the truth then using it against you later in the relationship making you feel like trash. How do you know your clean have you been tested? Furthermore you can have sex just one time, thats right JUST ONCE and obtain an STD so the number doesnt matter just be careful

To some guys, it doesn't matter and to some it does.
It's kind of like dealing with a car.
Some people don't want a "car" with a lot of miles on it because they see it and worn out and used. They'd much rather have a "car" with few to none miles, because even if the one thats' been around is clean and in good condition, it still doesn't look as great to them as the one with less milage.
But it all really depends on the guy. Some won't give up on a good "used car" just because it's been driven a lot.

Why Why Why, give yourself away to anyone. Why so easily???
This is not the way to find the perfect relationship. Hold back and the guy will want you more. Make they persue you.
And the main reason you should not sleep with just anyone is that you are setting yourself up for cervical cancer later in life. The girls that slept around are often getting cancer in their 30's and 40's. The more partners the more chance of getting it (germs enter the vagina with sex and it can't be helped).
Is it worth the risk to you?

It all depends on what guy it is. If he's looking for something more serious then its a lil turn off. Not saying your a bad person, but if your walking somewhere like the mall....hes probably gonna wonder, what guys in this store has she been with? Do you get me? Well anyways look im a guy and your life is your life....if you like alot of partners then you like sex so what. Some people feel different, and thats it.

The sleeping part isn't the problem. :-) Having sex, on the other hand, is an extremely intimate act that should MEAN something between two people and not just be a way to scratch an itch in your crotch. If you go straight to sex with guys, it short-circuits a lot of the "getting to know you", and classifies you as someone who thinks with her crotch, not her head -- or her heart. Why wouldn't a guy be wary of someone like that?

Well it would only matter if it mattered to you. Me for instance wouldn't sleep around because I was raised with morals and sleeping around will not make me feel good about myself. If you like it and if you seem to be able to sleep at night then do what makes you happy. Don't let people judge you for what you do. You are the only person that can make yourself happy. But do think about when you get married and have a family, how will sleeping around have an effect on your life later on.

Even if youre clean, the more guys youve slept with just means youre a big ho. No one wants to know their girl's been with half the city. Let's say you guys are out and you run into an old friend, the first thing he's gonna think of is, "This guy's probably been hit that". Then he'll think of what a ho you are and start an argument right then and there.

You're right it shouldn't matter, but in our society every guy wants a virgin, even if they don't admit it. Most guys want to know that they are Marco Polo--you know the first man ever to explore your body. And if you've been with lots of guys, some guys may not be cool with that.
It's a double standard sure, since it's ok for men to be sluts. But you can just lie about how many guys you've been with.

Well dear, men are shallow, I can say that because I am one. Men want their woman to be clean and have had been with either no one before them or very few. Truth is the number of peopel you've slept with should only matter to you. If you're okay with havign been with "a lot" of guys then you're fine. Once you start listenign to what other people say and think, that's when you're gunna have soem problems. Try keepign that information to yourself, it's none of anyones business anyways.
