I believe that sex and nudity are beautiful. I am against censorship of sexual material, when that sexual material is authentic and not being used to trick us into buying something. Unfortunately, almost all sexual material that appears on television is for the purpose of getting our attention or tricking us into buying something. The problem is that it seems to work, especially in America. Why? Remember the Super Bowl Half-time show a few years ago. If you don’t remember, I will recap: Janet Jackson, a musical performer whose career was definitely on the downhill side, essentially said to us, “Hey, I can’t sing, I can’t write songs, I can’t play any instruments, but look at my ****.” We did look at her “****” and everyone talked about Miss Jackson for the next several weeks. How come we are not able to see through such shallow tactics?

Because something taboo is more likely to get one's attention.

I see your point but not everyone agrees with what you said about miss Jackson, and you can't tell me that you didn't like miss Jackson's sudden exposure. Did I buy a Janet Jackson album after seeing that? Absolutely not, but I did hit the rewind button a few times.

I agree with you. In Europe, with the exception of blatant sex, nudity is no biggie. America, our attitudes dictated partly by our laws, are schizophrienic and can be very contradictory. However, I have no ready answer to your question.

Sex sells throughout the world. Anything that has high amounts of emotion, like sex, sticks in our memories, That's why that works. You can thank the hippie free love bs, for this garbage on tv.

I think you are incorrect in your declaration that J.Jackson is not talented. The sex part is true, we like to see attractive people, would you buy stuff that average looking people are selling? Do not lie, you enjoy hot chicks trying to sell you stuff more than you like your chunky neighbor with the butterfly tatoo on her fat left breast trying to tell you that Miller lite is swell.

America is still a very puritanical nation. If you deny reality, including natural human (and animal) desires, it will come back to haunt you. Ever wonder why there are so many porn shops in the bible belt?

WHY TEMPT OURSELVES WITH SOMETHING WE CAN ATTAIN?
WHY SHOULD WE VAINLY PARADE OUR BODIES IN FRONT OF OTHERS?
I FIND A TASTEFULLY DRESSED WOMAN AS ATTRACTIVE AS A BIKINI CLAD ONE.
LOOK AT A PLATE OF FOOD FROM A BUFFET LINE AND THEN A TASTEFULLY PLATED DISH AND TELL ME WHICH IS MORE DELIGHTFUL TO THE EYE.

Who ever said sex was free???
As you said, this is America darlin', nothing is free especially not sex. It sells like hard candy.
Somewhere, somehow, someone is paying for it.
