put them on your contacts because you wanted to watch them?
I have found two people that worry me enough that I have had to decide whether I wanted to block them or add them to my contacts so I could see what they're up to. I decided to block them, because they are creepy, but I still wonder about them sometimes.
Both tend to hang out here in R&S, which is why the question is here.

Big Head: did you seriously? That's hilarious.

I myself have not been stalked yet, but Freq and I are keeping an eye on another user who seems to be stalking a friend of ours on here. It's not in a hateful way, but it is still stalking.
No, I'm not interesting enough to be stalked.

Why would you put them on your contacts? I always put such people on my block list and track their posts that way. You can still see everything they post and you can easy-access their profiles. Blocking them doesn't prevent YOU from seeing what they are up to, it prevents them from doing that to you.
To date I have only been blocked by one person, but they have multiple accounts and what is really funny is because of their haste in blocking me with all their accounts I found out that they had even more accounts which they point gamed with giving themselves best answer! All I have to do to see their questions is log off of this account....
So I'd suggest setting your profile to private so people can't stalk you.

What did they do that creeped you out that bad?
Me, I don't block anyone. I just keep reading, rating, and laughing at the majority of the "debate". It is like watching the 2 year olds in a pre-school, where only the kids with the "right" answers get a second cookie after nap. But then again, that is just me.

I haven't blocked anyone and I'm not going to. I get cloned, trolled, harrased, and reported with alarming frequency, but this is only a way to pass the time, I try not to take this whole thing too seriously.
I have set my profile to private to stop the constant reporting of resolved questions that are months old, but I'm considering opening it up again.
This place isn't as fun with all these new features.

I don't block people that I don't like, I only block people who I've confirmed are abusing the system or have openly threatened to do so. It's a defensive mechanism for me.

I do not block the freedom of speech. If I don't like what someone has to say, I don't read it again. Simple as that.

I'm nosey, so I'd probably watch them w/o adding. Only is they really piss me off do I resort to blocking. So far that hasn't happened on here

Thank goodness it is not me.
I have only blocked a couple out of self-preservation. When you get violations for disagreeing then you know you are dealing with a nut job.

The only ones I have blocked were people who were reporting me for disagreeing with them. You do what you gotta do.

It's stupid to block someone just because you do not agree with that the person says or asks. You don't like it, don't answer. It's non-sense, ignore it. No way the person will get to know who we are, much less do us any harm, what's the point?
