Or if I said," love the follower, hate the religion" or how about "christians are an abomination to God's creation". Or, " christians aren't born the way that they are they choose to be arrogant".

Would you think that I loved them or hated them?

Obviously the point of this question is lost on most of you. Any of these phrases sound familiar? They are the same phrases that christians say about homosexual people ALL OF THE TIME!
And we are expected to believe that they have love in their hearts for them.

Yeah i understood right away what your question implied, all those Christians who hate and judge are not really Christians, because that's not what Christianity teaches :)

ALL of us lead a sinful lifestyle, whether gay or straight, it's just people who spend a good part of their time sitting on the forum judging others.. well are they really Christians? No, they're just people full of prejudice and hatered, and i can bet you $100 they don't pray for forgiveness for all they do here and how they hurt other people :/

For example the Bible very clearly speaks out against rich people, and the vast majority of Americans, certainly all the ones who can afford a PC are rich, do you see them yelling here that they will abandon all their wealth (aka sinful lifestyle) or go to hell? Of course not, because it's not convinient for them to talk about those verses in the Bible, because then that would mean they are all going to hell :)

But Christianity teaches forgiveness, love, and that everyone and yes everyone rich, poor, gay, straight, black, white who accepts Jesus as their saviour, and accepts the fact that Jesus already died for all of our sins, will be with God, hope this helps ;)

I would say you are prone to generalisation.

Just look at people as people and not members of this section or that section of society.

I like certain things about Christian society. But the things I like can also be found in other religions.
I dislike a lot about Christianity but then, would you believe, there it is in many other religions.

The things that most people find abhorrent in a religion seem to be present in all religions, the fact that one lot likes pork and the other doesn't is totally irrelevant and has come about simply because of where that particular believe was born.

The only really bad thing about ALL religions are the zealots and bigotts and extremists and they tend to be the ones who tend to be judgemental and get into the 'my religion is better than yours' thing.

wow, you sound angry.

If your sister, brother, lover or anyone you love cheated on their spouse would you love them less? would you condone their action? If someone you love was rapped and got pregnant would you hate the baby?

I'm sorry if you've had super bad encounters with "religious" people. But if it makes you feel better, the love the person hate the sin is applicable to ALL people... homosexuality is not the only sin... every person sins, even the ministers... That's why God has grace and mercy. telling lies, lusting after people, and killing are all equal sins... one is not worse than another.

No, I would not think you loved them OR hated them. I'd think you were intentionally imitating what they tend to say not about a religion, but about a social category, namely sexual identity and orientation.

Christians do not have a single lifestyle, as the term is normally used. (Personally, I think "lifestyle" should be a personal description, not a category.) Most people, including most Christians, have a lifestyle that is unique to themselves, shaped more by a variety of practical considerations such as age, location of residence, career (or lack of same), income bracket, members of their household, etc., etc., etc. How much of that is shaped or at least colored by one's sexual orientation differs quite a lot. For example, there are still plenty of people who keep their private lives private, and there are plenty of others who get involved in political campaigns around these matters, and are very public indeed. The old "closet" question.

But there are lots of reasons for a person to be private about what they do and with whom. It should be no one else's business who is with you when you close your bedroom door. Or who would be if you were not in fact going to bed alone, as many of us do.

In answer to your first question, I would say you are stating your opinion. As far as whether or not you love Christians or hate them... I'm sure this is one of those trick questions where if I say you hate them, you would then say "No, I don't hate anyone" and if I were to say that you love them you would say "No, I hate Christians". There is no way for me to tell you how you feel about one certian group of people. It is apparent that you do believe in God, so I am assuming (notice I said assuming) that you are either Wiccan or Satanic. Either way, Best of luck to you in life

Is this a homosexual argument..? Homosexuality is condemned in the Bible...not being a Christian...
Your argument is not valid...though there are some very arrogant Christians...
You should tell them that, "God resists the Proud"

If homosexuality is actually wrong and there are eternal consequences for not repenting of sin, then warning (depending on how it's done) of such consequences is an act of love. Thus, your question doesn't focus on the real issue, but merely assumes moral relativism.

Well it does not mean that you are going to hell or anything like that.If you do not approve of the christian lifestyle then that is good for you.No harm in that.

And I thought my wordplays were fun. For those of you that didn't get it, substitute Homosexual or Atheist for Christian, or Muslim, or Pagan, or well, let's just say that works for a whole lot of people other than christians.
