Absolutely!
we all get depressed at one point or another? it's like saying you will find love but you'll never get your heart broken.
NOT!!!
In order for you to live, there will be ups and downs. happy moments and sad moments.
Ask yourself the question, have others been in my situation and faced worst conditions than me and have come out from them fine? How can I persevere like them?
For example. look at the concentration camps in WWII. 85% of the people knew it was certain death and gave up all hope while 15% focused not so much on their terrible surroundings, but on the higher purpose they were sent to live on earth by God. These people made it – not by luck but with personal drive and power.
life is like a party and you hold the camera. If you look through the lens at people fighting all night you will say- "That party sucked- there were only fights". What if you focused (zoomed in) on a couple that were kissing and touching each other passionately- you would say "wow that party was really happening'
and what if you focused your camera to that one person sitting by them self all night doing absolutely nothing... you'll say- that was really boring party....
what if you zoomed out and looked around the party can you see many different things besides what you focused on?
what I’m trying to say is that you control the focus of your mind. anything that you focus in on is what you'll perceive in life. Take that camera and make it wide lens (panoramic) see all the great things in your life and all the meaningful things that are all around you. People -places – opportunities…. It’s a great world!
The best way to beat anything is to decide to beat it. You must tell yourself I am tired of being depressed and on prescription drugs. You don't need them but you do have to work on your mental focus. Instead of asking yourself negative questions "why does this always happen to me" ask yourself what great lesson can I learn from this and enjoy the process? How can I get joy and share love with my loved ones and friends. The better questions you ask yourself the better answers your brain will respond to you.
Look at the world in a positive light and ask yourself positive oriented questions. You could beat it- you have it in you. Go for it!
Best of luck!!!!

Yes I do. Depression is a result of the brain not getting the nutrients it requires. The brain requires saturated fat and the correct balance of omega 3 to omega 6 fatty acids to function properly. Hormone production is also important, and these too, are reliant on correct fats in your diet.
Sugar on the other hand, will contribute to depression partly due to the effect it has on your endocrine system, thus hormone production.
So, how I beat depression was to eliminate sugar and increase saturated fat and omega 3 in my diet

Yes, certain types of therapy especially cognitive behavorial therapy have the same success rate as antidepressant medication without a high incidence of relapse after treatment is stopped. Depression is not a simple physical condition caused by a mere chemical imbalance.

In Europe depression is treated first with St John's Wort, an herbal supplement.
I have found that DHEA found in supplement stores took care of my depression.

Exercise can help your brain produce more serotonin (or as i like to call it, the happy chemical) and can help you feel happier and sleep better.
