Genesis 1:3 And God said, "let there be light and there was light. 1:4 And God saw the light that it was good and God divided the light from the darkness. 1:5 And God called the light Day and darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Just to let you all know how confusing Christianity is. I will GUARANTEE you all that you will see many different answers. WHY? Truth is Truth isn't it? What God speaks of: IT IS WHAT IT IS. NO ANDS, IFS, OR BUTS ABOUT IT. SO WHY AM i i GOING TO GET SO MANY DIFFERENT ANSWERS? Most say that this verse refers to some spiritual light? HUH? This spirtual light He calls day and night? It doesn't make sense. Read other answers from the same question I asked. Go to Spiritual light? What? and read the soooo many contradictory answers. It's comical...they contradict each other, them Christians do. There has to be only ONE meaning to this Verse. But Why so many different answers. TRUTH IS TRUTH!

There is only one meaning and it is the Truth, But humans
being the imperfect creatures we are, will find as many ways to get it wrong as possible.

If you are so convinced yourself that Christianity is wrong, then why do you need to go through so much trouble to prove it.

Your point only defeats the whole purpose of your intentions Christians are not one tract minded people. In fact they are all capable of thinking for themselves. But i will quote one Scripture for you though and pray that God will help you.
Can you interpret this?
" But if the gospel be hid, it is hidden to them who are lost." 2 Corinthians 4 v 3

People attach meanings to all things with their own prejudices. To the Bible, the prejudice is what they have been told to believe by the relatives or clergy. They usually don't research for themselves, just except it as true. That is how most of the really stupid things people on R&S come up with. Mostly sane normal people with some beliefs that can not stand close observation or the slightest research.

Truth is Truth...and if Jesus Christ is not your Lord and Savior...you don't know the truth. Are you basing your religious beliefs on Yahoo Answers?? Not smart. Base it on the Holy Bible, the perfect Word of God. The Bible is not contradictory, people's interpretations are.

this is refering to Physical light-yet there is a spiritual application to the Light of Jesus

when you stand one day before the compassionate Jesus that you spend your days trying to reject-you will have all your arguements just like I use to have too as an unbeliever-yet as the bible says we will either bow in this life to the joy of Jesus in salvation or when we pass from this life and stand before Jesus at the final judgement-and as the Bible says every knee shall bow before Him.

truth is truth. Praying for you to see the ultimate truth in Jesus my savior and best friend who cares for you heart and soul.

Hello and God does not have to make scence, He made it, He does not have to be logical, He created Logic, when God spoke it happened, now God created the sun and moon later, but when God commanded the light appeared He said it and its good enough for me.

People don't agree about many things that are written in the Bible, everyone interprets it in a way to best suit their own ideas and interests and often prejudice.

Bible verses don't equate to Christianity. The bible is the bible. Christians are christians who read the bible. Yeah, the bible can be confusing. I think God speaks to us differently through his word. I am just glad you are reading the bible. :)
