will like Layla said..
i know and believe that mohammed (pbuh) was a prophet for reasons and personal reasons...

there are lots of things that proved for people who used to live when mohammed was a young guy that he was really one of the prophets that god send...

even his nanny Halimah who breast-feed him noticed sme of the signs that made her wonder about this young and innocent pure baby...

and when he was growing up ..people like his friends and his uncles and the one who knew him noticed how faithful he was...so for that it was the reason for calling him by the faihful (al ameen)....

and when the angel jubriel came down on him for the first time and told him to read 3 times ...he read the first surah (al qalam) though he was illitrate that time...but after that moment god learned him by him self how to read and write ...so mohammed was freaked out and he was shaking to death from fear ..that time after he read the surah..he went to his wife (khadijah) and told her to cover him while he was very abviously shaking ..and she thought that e was sick but he told her about what happened to him and then she smiled to him and congraduate him for that this is a sign that he is a prophet for the only true god and she was diffently sure about that for what her husband was in his moral and his faith and evrything that was blessed because of him (pbuh)

and before she even get marry to mohammed..her servent ..who used to go with mohammed and travel with him in the desert for work and trade...told her that he saw a cloud who used to follow mohammed and keep him from the sun light and the heat ...and he noticed other of marvelous things that really made him like mohammad and apprecite him a lot...

will that's one of many things that really made ppl and spacially the one who used to live with him like his wife to believe that he was a prophet...and so do i and all the muslims believe ...thank god

peace to you

i am a Christin many claim that they are prophets and i cant argue with that. We don't know who God choose to preach his massage to his people . So yeah, for Muslims Mohamed is their prophet who am i to say he is not. But that's not my religion so in my religion we don't recognize Mohamed as a prophet

Yes. He was illiterate, yet he was chosen to reveal God's last revelation, the Qur'an, which was written in rhyming classical Arabic (similar to Shakespeare's sonnets). Also, what was revealed lines up with the teachings in Judaism and Christianity, so it appears that the source is the same God of Judaism and Christianity. Check out "The Essential Koran" by Thomas Cleary.

According to the God that spoke to Moses, which I believe to predate Allah, A prophet of God msut be in agreement with the prophets of God and the word of God. Muhammad's book teaches different than the previous word of God contrary to the word of God. Muhammad says he agrees wiht the prophets of God...Moses taught the tree of life and that man Adam would surely die if he ate of the tree of knowldge of good and evil...The Qu'ran does not mention the tree of life and says God simply overlooked Adam's sin. this is not in agreement God but the serpent who said you will not surely die. Abraham taught that God would provide himself a lamb.
Isaiah said the Messiah would atone for sin.
John the Baptist said "Behold the lamb of God"
Christ said I and the Father are one..I am the way and the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but through the Son.
Did Muhamamd agree with the prophets of God? With the word of God? If not the God that existed before Muhammad says he is not a prophet of God.

Mohammed prophecied, and therefore that makes him a prophet.
We cannot truly know wether or not he was true or false prophet until the afterlife.

I think all prophets are false. It is kind of like asking me if Monkey X can fly, it is the most silly thing I have ever heard.

He wasn't a prophet. He was just some guy looking to make a profit.

He was a false prophet.

He presented a religion based on lies. He lied when He claimed to have heard from Allah. Allah was no more than the minor idol that his tribe worshiped. When Mohamed united the Bedouin tribes, he suddenly declared, "Oh, by the way. Allah is the God."

He then proceeded to have a 6-year-old "bride."

No one can really say. In order to actually know the honest factual answer, one must be GOD himself/herself. The same goes for Jesus. We have to trust that these persons used wisdom and love when they taught people. And hopefully the people will follow in their steps (which really hasn't happened, yet.)
