Looks gooey, but feels hard. The first time was September of last year. Vet said it looked like a wound from the other cat we used to have. It went away with triple antibiotic that the vet gave me. Now almost a year later and it's back. He is the only cat in the house now. What is it? Do I have to go back to the vet again?

Could it be an ulceration from a possible injury? Your cat could have scratched himself or poked his eye on something in the house. The vet has drops that he/she can put in the eye and that will let you know whether or not it is an ulceration.

Otherwise, possible eye herpes. It is NOT transmissible to you but must be treated with anti-viral drops..Idoxurdine is the best treatment for herpes in the eye.

Good luck.

I would go back to the vet. It maybe as simple as a fat deposit on the eye or a cataract. It is best to have it checked out though. It could also be a chronic eye infection since antibiotics helped clear it up the last time.

best thing to do is go to the vet, if its happened before at least they will know how to treat it :)

Unless your cat is clumsey like my kitten i doubt its just kitty litter (which my kitten seems to be very skilled at we had to remove it a couple of times already lol)

Yes. And this time ask for a more thorough check-up.

Good luck!
