I'll tell you what happens and what you should do.

if you get a speeding ticket and are under 21 then you can take a class instead of paying the ticket but the class cost 20-30 bucks and it doesn't go on your record.
all you have to do is call the number on the ticket and ask to take the class and they'll set it up for you and tell you where to go. (side note you can only take that class twice after that tuff luck!!!)

if your over 21 and don't pay and have already taken that class. you should pay the ticket A.S.A.P or the next time your pulled over your more than likely going to jail and you'll have to pay the ticket off any way to get out. if you don't have the money you'll sit in jail until you pay it off that way. they call it "time served" I think for every day you sit in jail they give you like 40 or 50 bucks toward your release amount.

So if I were you I'd pay cause jail sucks no matter how you get there!!!!

Some states use collection agencies to collect unpaid tickets and you will not be able to renew your license or register your car until you pay the ticket, and depending how fast you were going over the speed limit it could turn to a warrant.

The cost increases and you won't be able to register or renew your drivers license until they get paid.

Too many unpaid speeding tickets will result in a warrant.

One of two things. The Court could issue a warrant for your arrest and you'd either have to sit in Jail for whatever amount of days or pay for the tickets to be released. Or, have your driving status suspended until you pay the fine.

Next time you get stopped for a faulty tail light, they will run your name, find the warrant, and arrest you. You get to spend the night in jail, and pay some hefty assessments.

Your car may also be searched and they may find an empty beer can and charge you with open container, or they may find a few grains of pot, and you got real trouble.

Take some advice, and pay the ticket.

Laws on this vary from place to place, but usually one unpaid ticket isn't too serious. If you start raking them in, however, they can put a boot on your car or arrest you.
