To do so safely by just taking Gaza one step at a time & just taking Hamas captive?
Or should they just fight Hamas from across border while this threatens innocent Gaza people. Since Hamas fights from behind innocent women too often (according to what I read Abbas say).

Epidavro, We, USA, are not going to support financially any terrorist group who want to destroy Israel & US. So? Israel occupied Gaza & also gave Gaza much money. So did we. Hamas comes into Gaza & sells all they have for more weapons to destroy Israel & US. That they also teach their most innocent children to follow in their footsteps. Personally I believe this is child abuse.

SAM, you are the one believeing terrorist propoganda in your chosen media to listen to. Look at it this way, the media you listen to are the terrorist root. You know a book by its cover.

It's amazing to me how I was told that evacuating Gaza was impossible. That was here on Yahoo!Answers months ago.
But I wonder what kind of stupid pill Hamas must have taken. They have concentrated themselves and become a target. I suppose that they think that the Israeli tanks and bombs will miss them. Because Hamas has begun to make trouble by shooting at Israel, they further their dimwittedness by provoking attacks by Israel.
I would welcome the all out occupation and retaking of Gaza by Israel. I believe it belongs to them anyway, God gave it to them through the promise that God gave Abraham.

The question is rather complicated. There is no doubt that Gaza is part of the Land of Israel and belongs to the Jewish People.
But it is so problematical because of its population, that when Egypt was occupying i t they did not let Gazans into Egypt, and after 1967 Egypt has never shown any interest in getting Gaza back.
The only way to handle the situation is for Israel to defeat the Hamas overwhelmingly and then to disarm them totally and ensure that they will no longer threaten Israel.
Or else give Gaza to Egypt with "no backsies."

The question is very complicated. there is not any doubt that Gaza is a ingredient of the Land of Israel and belongs to the Jewish human beings. in spite of if it is so no longer person-friendly through fact of its inhabitants, that as quickly as Egypt grow to be occupying i t they did no longer permit Gazans into Egypt, and after 1967 Egypt has not at all shown any pastime in getting Gaza back. the only thank you to shield the region is for Israel to defeat the Hamas overwhelmingly and then to disarm them completely and be certain that they are going to now no longer threaten Israel. in any different case provide Gaza to Egypt with "no backsies." .

Hmm.
So you tell the people of Palestine they must have democratic elections. So they do, and choose Hamas. Then you say "Ah, but you chose wrong. We will now cut off all your money." So things get worse. Then you say "Ah, when you had no money and were starving things got worse, so now we will invade you."
I think your grasp of foreign policy - even basic human decency - have a long way to go. And do remember that a lot of the problem here is that Israel preemtively seized Gaza in the 6 Day War - how would you feel of Canada preemtively seized, say, New York City.

I think it makes sense to disarm Hamas (sorry, I see no use whatsoever for missiles in that area - I know it sounds one sided but clearly they can only mount incredibly one-sided attacks and they have zero defensive value - as each encounter with Israel has proven). The missiles are solving the problem about as well as the suicide bombers were.

They already occupy Gaza and the West Bank. The Palestinian "government" is just a show, they have little to no authority.

Considering that Hamas is violating the treaty by which Israel withdrew, yes they should return. It might mean a broader war, but Israel should react.
