No, cocoa butter is not a good sunburn treatment, it will only irritate the burn even worse. You need aloe gel with benzocaine, or silver sulfadiazine, which is a burn cream. Cocoa butter has oils in it that will accelerate your burn and irritate it worse.

Usually cocoa butter is used in tanning products,not to treat sunburn. To treat sunburn keep a bottle of a aleo based sunburn treatment in the fridge. This keeps it cool so it feels better going on. Also even though you want to get tan for the summer you still need to use an spf product for proection from UV rays that cause skin cancer.

I use it and I love it! :D It does tend to smooth out scars slowly so use it frequently! I've never applied it to open wounds so I'm not sure what you mean by recent wounds. I think there are some cocoa butter based lotions that are specifically for the face. I don't apply mine to my face since mine is just for body. And yes! I'm pretty sure you can use it daily :D

putting oil on a burn of anykind is like dipping a french fry in boiling oil, it worsens the burn.
the best sunburn treatment is the oldest...pour distilled white vinegar on the burn let it dry then take a cool shower. After that use an oil free moisturizer. The vinegar draws heat, works for fevers too.

I would recomend a gel for sunburn. Products that contain aloe are excellent such as pure aloe vera gel. Also, noxema skin cream is excellent but smells funny.
