How many must he walk down before YOU call him a man? And if he's a man, why would he care? A MAN walks his roads, whether anyone recognizes or acknowledges him as a man or not.

Well technically, he is already a man before he walks down the road. It is up to him what kind of a man he becomes while walking down the road.

43 unless one of them is the A59 near Clitheroe in which case the answer is 58 but only if you count Kensington High Street as 2. Of course if you walk both sides of the High Street in Colchester the number is 28 but personally I prefer the Jordanian rules.

As many as he has to in order to his own calling, one is not a man until one thinks so with his own mind, not with which the others tell him so. When he no longer cares if people view him that way or not, but can honestly say so to himself.

As a teenager, my little sister had her own words for this song:
'How many times must a man go down
Before he acquires the taste?'

The "Kingston Trio" made a lot of money 'singing' that question. A very good question it is too. My answer is to walk until you are capable. Hope it makes sense to others.
