My house, car, dog, TV, gamecube and job have all come from craigslist!!!

I have sold a few things on line as well. It's a great tool.

Some cities have more activity than others, so it just depends on your area. But like any online site just be careful with any transaction. I always try to exchange a few emails back and forth before meeting anyone in order to make sure they seem ok!

Its safe as long as you so a few things, 1 Know the person for a long time period on the internet 2 Ask others about this person. 3 Make sure someone else knows about it and will help you if you plan to meet with the person 4 Webcam if possible, If you can see the face of the person and its the same face, all the time. 5 If they start asking loads of personal questions quickly, Do not reply.

Look out for scammers. Otherwise, keep in mind that you are working directly with other people and the site provides you no protection at all. It is a great way to get people to see your ad, but that's all it is.... there's no services beyond simply posting your ad, and at that point, you're on your own.

I have used it alot... depending on where you are from, it is more popular...
I bought my car, sold my sidekick3, sold a couple mopeds, found a job, got a free couch... I guess you could say I use it... Just be aware that some people may try to post ads or offer false services ex. selling a car from overseas and they need your account info

I use craigslist all the time. Usually great responses. Be aware that any website can draw dangerous people, though. Do your due diligence before meeting someone in a back alley.

I'm sorry but I have to agree with Thom, regardless of my answer regarding craigslist, proper Yahoo Answers manners dictates that you properly catagorize your question.

I used Craig's List to find my new apartment and rommate! It's a great community and ppl are usually very good about getting back to you if they are interested.

Good Luck!

I'd have to agree with Joe and Thom.
But, from the stand that you might get better answers, and more of the people that deal with that type subject in a different category.

Why is this question here?
Try putting it in the proper category, and let's leave this one for questions dealing with aircraft and flying, please...
