The English traditional shot - if you're dealing in old measures like ounces - is one sixth of a gill and there are four gills to pint which is 20 fluid ounces. This means you would get 24 shots to a pint. 24 divided by 20 multiplied by 8 gives you 9.6 shots. If you're passing it around on a golf course playing in a foursome, though, you personally would probably just get the fumes when you got the flask back!
