In Jeremiah 19:7-10, we read...

"If I announce that a certain nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down, and destroyed, but then that nation renounces its evil ways, I will not destroy it as I had planned. And if I announce that I will build up and plant a certain nation or kingdom, making it strong and great, but then that nation turns to evil and refuses to obey me, I will not bless that nation as I had said I would."

(I'm praying for my own homeland because of the above study).

Matthew 24:3-7

"And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall be the sign of your return, and of the end of the Age?And Jesus answered and said to them, be careful that no-one deceive you. For many shall come in my name, proclaiming "I am Christ" and shall deceive many. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: but don't be troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places.

Now skipping a few verses to Matthew 24:14,15

"And the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then the end shall come." (Almost every corner of the world has had a chance to hear the Gospel message and make their choice)

"When you therefore, shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, whoever reads it, let them understand.

Whoever that individual is, they will be a guiding light to form a ten-nation confederacy in the Middle-East, and that Israel will be forced to accept a seven-year peace settlement. Toward the close of three-and-a-half years of peace, Russia accompanied by several other nations attempts to invade Israel but is destroyed by a series of judgments from God. (These may appear as natural or supernatural phenomena - after all, it doesn't really matter what form it comes, the end result is the same).

Luke 21:25

"There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves."

The Lord preserved his Word for us, and time and again as examples for mankind. Examine history, for instance The Crusades. People participating in the Crusades were not Christlike at all! Examine religions, how many of them say "Love others as I love you." That is the bottom line. In doing that, we honor God's Word, as well as others. But we are constantly reminded that we live in a world where both wheat and tares grow together. The cost to love others has already cost so many, but sooner or later, we each must face our day.
I'm just a mere person facing my own challenges. God didn't promise us life would be fair, everything we dreamed of, or even carefree, but He promised to be with u - even to the end of times. So many people in the world have suffered, are suffering at the hands of evil people, and will suffer.

Though many signs may be in process, it comes down to your relationship with Jesus. You can study all of these things for yourselves (or not).

Yes. Namely because mankind has caused an offset to the natural balance of the weather patterns and ecology of the world. Storms have pretty much always been in the world but I see you have noticed that they are much more devastating in nature than they have ever been. The earthquakes and tsunamis are much more devastating than ever in history, though there have been a few exceptions to the rule.

With humans' constant pollution, global warming, oil spills, etc., we have severely offset the natural balance that once existed in the earth, so we have most catastrophic and geological devastation. These things were prophecied in God's word, the Bible and I'm so happy that you brought this point out. You would think people would listen and "WAKE UP", but sadly most (about 90% of the world's population) will not.

Very good point.

You need to read God's word in the Bible it says there will be wars and rumors of wars of wars, quakes in divers places (reagions of this earth that never experenced savage weather) there will come signs in the heavens after you hear only talk of peace in the world, when this happens look up for your redemtion drawith nigh.

These things seem to go in cycles, you know, when you're talking about weather. I don't think it has anything to do with biblical prophecy. Every seven years or so we experience a much stronger than average winter, a stronger than average hurricane season, etc.

Nope... it's nature and our polluting of the earth. The earth moves and fissures sometimes open up. Hurricanes happen. We have to also remember that the more technology we get the more we will see these things. They are where we will get notice of them.

I believe storms have been occurring for a while now. I am willing to be there were storms going on before Revelations or the Left Behind series were even written.

What about the bubonic plague that wiped out most of Europe back in the middle ages? Sounds pretty apocalyptic to me.
