Just to prove how confusing Christianity is, I'm almost for certain that many people, who will answer this question, will have different interpretations of the meaning. One religion but so many interpretations. (WHY? because NO ONE will have ANY solid facts. Truth is Truth but falsehood will ALWAYS have different interpretations) Just Watch! Also, there was another question that I had asked previously that pertains to THIS question. I'm willing to bet that the answer to THIS question will contradict the other Christians answers to my previous question. So be careful how you answer this question Christians....

You're right, there are no solid facts in religion. It's not about facts, it's about faith. And you will get different answers because everyone is at different levels of maturity in their Christian faith...different levels of understanding. It's the same with anything. A football coach understands more about football than a rookie but both talk about it, and people listen. The only true answer to any question comes from Jesus but it sounds like you are asking questions to prove there is no Jesus. He was confronted like this on several occasions and, in His wisdom, left His questioners speechless. You won't find anyone on the web that can do that so your point is already proven. That's why Christians rely on faith. Now, to answer your actual question. To be spiritually dead is to have no faith, declining faith, or stagnant faith. Those who are growing in Christ are not spiritually dead but they will never be fully spirritually grown either.

So, do you really want to know what it means to be spiritually dead, or are you looking for definition of spiritually dead, or do you just want to poke fun at Christians some more because we're human and have different ways of looking at things just like people everywhere? You say truth is truth, and so it is, but how many ways can humans use and interpret truth? I promise you, after 40 years of observation, humans can interpret one single truth in as many ways as there are people. As a matter of fact, it is far easier to manipulate the truth to fit a lie than it is to manipulate a lie to fit the truth.

There are so many interpretations of truth because everyone (no matter how well or ill-educated about a subject) has an opinion about things and we all want our opinions to not only be valid but be correct. This being the case, we will give credence only to those facts that support our opinions, we will discount those that tend not to support our opinions, and we will stringently disagree with anyone who contradicts our opinion, even to the point of ridicule. It is the same with everything in life, not just matters of religion and spirituality.

Furthermore, it is entirely possible for two people to have differing, and even seeming contradictory, explanations of a single truth, and both be correct in their explanations and assumptions. Logic often supports more than one conclusion as well.

But, to address your question, to be spiritually dead, in my understanding and opinion, is the state of not caring about spiritual matters to the point that one is no longer able to be moved by the Spirit of God to believe. There is a point of no return, as far as God is concerned, at which He will discontinue trying to convince you to believe in Him. As He did with the pharaoh of Exodus, He will let you harden your own heart against Him for a time, then He will harden your heart, and at that point, it's no longer possible for you to believe in Him. At that point, your spirit is dead within you, and God will not revive it. It is the result of constantly and consistently rejecting God, without Whom your spirit cannot live.

Now, again, if someone else's answer is different than mine, it neither negates the validity of my answer, nor theirs. Not seeing other answers, many people may have a greater (or lesser) understanding of the subject, or have a different insight into the topic than I have, but we can each and all be right, even though we all give different answers.

You are spiritually dead when your belief in God is lost or have small belief to God and you are allowing yourself to the temptations of the evil spirit.

You are not well verse with christianity. In christianity, there are many different religions that involved. Many religions were falsely founded by false pastor or false minister because they are not following exactly whgat was written on the bible. Many have their own doctrine but not biblical. So thats it.

Those who are born of the Spirit are spiritually alive. Those not born of the Spirit are spiritually dead. You have to be born-again to be spiritually alive and have the Holy Spirit living in you forever.

"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Rom. 8:9. A person who is spiritually dead is one who doesn't have God's spirit dwelling inside of him (or her). Not a hard question to anwer.

Spiritually dead means that you have basically turned your back on God. It means that your relationship has died. We are not all spiritually dead, but those who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ are, yes, spiritually dead.
