It's more of a discomfort feeling rather than pain when you first put them in as you think they are going to hurt. You imagine it's going to be a lot worse than it is as you can't get your brain around the fact that you are sticking a piece of plastic in your eye, but the contact never makes direct contact with your eye at all, it sits, or rather floats over your iris on a bed of fluid.

I use hard lenses as they are better if you work in a dusty atmosphere, but if you do get a speck of dust underneath them, it feels like knives in your eyes.

I can't use soft lenses as I have too much calcium in my body and the calcium deposits build up on the contacts making them appear cloudy and I can't see.

With the tinted ones I think they are dailies but not intended for everyday use.

I decided to get contacts after i got sick of my 10 month old pulling my glasses off my face. Best decision ever.

I got used to putting them in no probs, i found removing them a little harder.

Some things to watch out for, for maximum comfort:

Make sure you don't put them in inside out.
The tiniest amount of fluff can cause irritation.
Make sure there is no make up glupe or eye bogies in you eyes before you put them in.
A tiny nick on the edge of the lense will render then unwearable.
Staring at a screen without blinking for a long time can make them dry and uncomfortable.

Anyway give them a go. You'll wonder why you didn't sooner.

Good luck

I got used to mine in a few days, the taking iin and out was the hardest part for me and I had bloodshot eyes for a week or so from poking my eye so many times ha!

I've had them about 9 months now and I don't know I'm wearing them. Start with dailies then change if you intend to wear them all the time to monthlies. I advise to buy soft lenses, monthlies or dailies.

Tinted lenses are often bad quality according to my optician.

Contacts are a strange sensation the first few times they are in the eyes but you do get used to them.I wouldnt say they hurt!you should have a chat with an optometrist and they will discuss they best ones for you and tell you if they are dailies or montlies.

I'm unable to wear contacts since I have 'dry eye syndrome' and the optometrist (eye dr that does Not perform surgery or prescribe internal meds) said that if I continued to wear them, that I may have trouble with the cornea. It was kind of depressing at first to get such news, but things could be much worse right :) I'd asked the dr if I could use drops, but she said that I would have to use them every five minutes or so. I would go to an opthalmologist (medical doctor) to get evaluated for contacts. Good luck!

They do not hurt at all. It takes a few days to get used to putting soemthing in your eye but really their amazing. I have ones that have uv blockers so the sun cant damage your eyes. I use monthly only because they cost less in the long run. You should so get them you wont regret it

I've been wearing soft lenses for 13 years and i've never had a problem. I wear monthly disposables and they cost me £8 a month. it takes a few days to get used to them but being able to see correctly without glasses is great. I reccomend that you try them.

Nope.. unless your eyes are sensitive.. pls seek license eye practioner before you purchase any lens.. I used monthly disposable lenses and rinse wif non-rub multi-purpose cleaner.. tinted one makes eyes much drier and tired.. suggest to use clear lenses one..
