Starbucks employees recieve free "behind the counter" drinks while they are on shift or 1/2 hour before and after shift. This includes brewed coffee, espresso drinks, and cold drinks such as Frappucinno's. Starbucks employee's also recieve one free pound of coffee a week for personal use. When not working, Starbucks employee's recieve a 30% discount on all beverages or merchandise, this same discount applies to pre-bottled drinks and food items while on shift.

I would not think so because a cup of Starbucks averages around $3.00, doesn't it? Free coffee to the employees can certainly drain the inventory.
Yet it's good business relations for the employees too. I would vote yes or at least a discount provided.

It depends. If they work within a store (like a Safeway or Target) it is licensed, and they do not always get the same benefits.
We can have up to five free drinks on an 8 hour shift. (For an 8 hour shift, we get a half hour break, and two 15 min breaks)
You can get a free drink before your shift (must be about 30 min. before, no longer). One on each of your breaks, and a drink right after your shift.
We are not allowed to give them to people or friends.. and we cannot drink them on the floor as we work.
Hope that answers your question.
