There's this guy I met in South America and we have been in touch for a year. I like him and I'm gonna go see him in September. And this is what he said to me!! I'm not sure what he means...

He means just what the quote says , he really cares a lot about you and come September you will be on a higher level of freindship that will bring you both closer together like never before .

The message means about relationship. In your case, it is friendship. It is not easy to communicate with him often and it last a year. Good for you! By the way, the meaning is that if you have a close friend did you suddenly questioned yourself why this guy is close in my heart? The answer is friendship and you have similarity to each other especially the "likes". Did you know that by asking you what your friends personalities can determined what is also your personality. The same, isn't it?

I hope that he is joking. It sounds like he is either planning to steal your identity or become so absorbed with you that, well, it's rather uncomfortable to think about.
Can you run some reality checks on this guy before you get together? He sounds a little out of round.

It means that he cares about you so much that he plans to "absorb" your personality completely. Just be careful. He may be one of the so-called "body snatchers."
Obviously this guy is smitten with you, which is not a bad thing.
