Here are some examples:

Gathering, computing, verifying, adjusting, posting and reconciling financial data from printouts, invoices, purchase orders, timesheets, billings, checks, and related source documents; entering data into manual and computerized automated accounting systems; maintaining spreadsheets using downloaded data for reports and other accounting purposes; verifying and entering data from timesheets for computerized generation of payroll checks and for entry into agency cost control system; auditing checks for accuracy.

Of course, the tasks vary from position to position.
