If he heard what the Catholics are teaching - veneration of Mary, prayers to saints, purgatory, etc, he would probably be hurt and angered.
The origin of the Catholic Church is the tragic compromise of Christianity with the pagan religions that surrounded it. Instead of proclaiming the Gospel and converting the pagans, the Catholic Church “Christianized” the pagan religions, and “paganized” Christianity. By blurring the differences and erasing the distinctions, yes, the Catholic Church made itself attractive to the people of the Roman empire. One result was the Catholic Church becoming the supreme religion in the “Roman world” for centuries. However, another result was the most dominant form of Christianity apostatizing from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and the true proclamation of God’s Word.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 declares, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”

I think a little bit of both. I know some churches who have not perverted the gospel. I have heard some preachers that preach the Word as God gives it to them, if your toes get stepped on , so be it. But I am sure there are some preachers who preach what the congregation wants to hear.

It's obvious that much of what the world refers to as Christianity has been so perverted over the years that Paul would see what few today seem to realize – that there are many false prophets in the pulpit and their messages are leading people astray.

We suffer from a lack of spiritual maturity.

As a non-Christian, it's my opinion that Paul started the move away from the original teachings of the Christ. It's Paul's teachings and letters that start the editing process finished by Constantine at the Council of Nicea in the 4th Century, creating the Church and it's hierarchy. It's my opinion that Christianity without Paul would have become to Judaism what Sufism is to Islam. Maybe it wouldn't have such a large modern following, but I think it would have been closer to the teachings of the Christ.

I believe that there is a very small minority of churches in which the Apostle Paul would feel at home, a larger minority in which he would have some harsh words of admonishment and a larger majority in which he would be filled with righteous indignation.

I'm not sure. I think he would be pleased with some of the preaching, but some people today have twisted it. One person even said that believing in the virgin birth is optional! So, I think he would be partly displeased. But, there are some people who are pretty good preachers who Paul would probably be proud of.

Paul and anyone in the Bible who truly loved Jehovah God and his standards, would be appalled at all the blasphemy and false teachings, greed and immorality going on in the churches today, and how so many false religious leaders are misleading their flocks, their perisheners.

Jehovah's Witnesses take it very seriously the good news and information taught in their congregations and also when they go in "two's" door to door to work in the harverst; that is, to harvest the "good fruit", the humble ones who yearn for the good news about the truth.

Paul would rebuke them all that is not in truth. But we also have scriptures that shows what time frame we are living in. Rev.3:14-22 Showing the last church age would be neither cold nor hot but lukewarm, & because this last church age is neither cold nor hot God will spue these so call churches & Christians, out of his mouth, meaning he will cut them off from the truth.

Ah.

I have to defend my church and say he'd be at least a lttle pleased with it. Still there are some churches here, in the city named after him in which i live (São Paulo, Brasil), that have really perverted the whole meaning of the scriptures.
