I was at the waters/ocean's edge.
Someone kind of gave me this white rabbit.
I then, threw the little rabbit out into the ocean, (i seem to have thought this was fun or funny or something).

Then my friend (or the person who gave mne the rabbit) said something like --"oh no, rabbit is drifting out to sea"
I got a little worried and waded out a little bit but then stopped for some reason.

Later, on the beach i heard some kind of crying and i looked and there was the little white rabbit, wet and cold, i guess kind of hurt from the whole drifting-out-to-sea ordeal.
Then I work up.
Yes I know irts kind of a corny dream, but please tell me what it means???

Yeah, this is what your dream means: The white rabbit is someone you know who is of a very sexually active maybe with alot of people. The person was put under your care to watch over and pour some valuable teaching into their life. However, you threw the rabbit into the ocean. The ocean represents the world and the trials and tribulation of the world. In a sense this "rabbit" went back into the harsh life style it was living. However, after a while you became concerned about this individual and started to look for them. Lastly, you saw this person at last and they were shook up from going back into the world. This rabbit (person) was put under your care by God so you could watch over them and love them.

Dreams represent the interface or interaction between conscious processes and attitudes on the one hand and unconscious processes on the other hand. So it can be tricky sorting out what comes from the unconscious and what from the conscious.

Often the great ocean or water's edge refers to the unconscious realm. This can have a collective component. It is wider and broader than the ego which tends to narrow things down according to personal conscious experience.

So I was surprised that you suggested your dream was corny. It did not strike me as corny at all. That is because the white rabbit for me refers to pure, innocent, harmless fertility. It has been chosen as a symbol for Easter that means more to most people than the 'crucifixion' or many other symbols you can think of. The rabbit is springy and multiplies in abundance. It is usually quiet. It is vegetarian and so not prone to attacking other creatures. In Egypt the hare was famous for its speed and was said to be born with its eyes already open suggesting a speedy biosynthesis of tubulin protein that is needed for conscious cognition. So the white rabbit also refers to the fertile aspect of mind and consciousness. It has often been a symbol of luck in part due to its fertility and in part due to its agility.

You took this innocent thing and threw it into the ocean where it could easily have drowned. Perhaps you want change. You might be bored with your daily fare and want a deeper level of experience.

I think your dream expresses ambiguity. You want more depth and you want change but you are also afraid of it. So with this ambivalence you were careless with the innocent rabbit.

If you need adventure pursue it. But don't hurt the rabbit of consciousness - the fertile urge to grow and spring about - due to fear or discontent. Respect the rabbit and transform carelessness or whim into a more directed approach to the breadth of life's possibilities. Be sure you are not squandering the gift. In psychology the prime gift is that of consciousness - that pure thing that is able to distinguish itself from an infinite sea of sameness.

Your dream is not corny. It's asking you not to squander the gift. Protect the gift and seek some adventure.

Pay close attention to how you feel about this dream with time. See what residue it leaves. Check to see if you are being careless about something in daily life.

Rabbits are usually inaudible. To hear it crying suggests that you definitely hurt it. So be careful of its well-being. The rabbit could be a part of you or it could be a part of certain people in your life. It is inappropriate to throw a rabbit into the ocean. Sensitivity is needed to discern what is appropriate and what isn't.

A dream can have multiple applications which is why the residue of feeling it leaves behind can be important in the long run.

My guess. Your dream is asking you not to squander some gift that is important to you. In its original state that gift is innocent and has to be treated with some care and forethought. Moreover, the gift was given to you by somebody else. Perhaps you want the gift to be your own. You want your own consciousness, your own illumination. But still, you have to be careful not to disregard gifts offered by others. It's a balancing act. If you throw away what others give you, it might tell you something about how you feel about yourself. It's important to feel good about your own insight, your own hard-won understanding and sense of well-being. But others are part of the well-being.
