My cat comes up with a new one like every week. Last week he started sleeping under the covers. The week before that everytime I would sit down at the table to eat, he would go sit at his bowl and eat. This week everytime my cellphone rings he runs to it and if it is on a low enough place for him to look at the caller ID, he does. And then he looks at me as if to say someone is calling.LOL. What silly habits does your kitty have?

Kitties do go through phases. Mine picks a different place to sleep at least once a week. He used close the cupboard door for me after I'd take his can of food out, but he stopped doing that a while ago. And every now and then he'll pretend to bury his food.

My cat Gracie makes me give her water straight from the tap. She meows and meows until we turn the water on in my bathroom sink. She waits until we walk away then she hops up there and gets her drink. She also loves to bring home critters and some times they are still alive. She brought us part of a Canadian Goose one Christmas. I think cats are very smart.

my cat is funny, she sits in the bathroom and stares at me smacking her lips to indicate that she's thirsty because she loves drinking out of the faucet. She also comes when I call her...she's a good, funny cat and she's about 15 years old.

Your cat sounds really smart and funny. Mine gets new habits that usually annoy me. He's so darned cute it's hard to stay mad at him for long, though.

My Isis is a little over a year old. She also has 3 canine sisters. Whenever we (my husband or I) take the dogs outside, Isis stands at the window to watch them or runs from window to window to keep them in sight. If the dogs are out for more that 15 minutes, she starts to yeowl very loudly. When the dogs come back in, she tackles the first dog in the door.
When it comes time to feed the dogs, she runs to each bowl, inspects the portion and meows if she feels one dog got more or less than the other two. She feels it's her duty to inspect the water temperature of each bowl by dipping her paw in. Then runs to her bowl to await her food.
When I shower, she bangs on the shower doors until I am finished. When I get dressed, she hops onto my dressing table right away and watches me.
And my two favorites are: After I've done laundry, she must inspect each load of dried clothes by burrowing thru the basket to the bottom and staying there until the laundry is folded. She also sleeps on any type of furniture on her back...with her head shoved between the back and cushion. Bless her little heart.

That is adorable! My cats are so random, a few weeks ago they were doing roly polys! Now one of them when I hold my hand out she tries to walk on her back legs to me! Ahaha, Cats are very entertaining animals and make friendly affectionate pets.

i dont have a cot but my dog has tons of wierd habits, she tought herself how to climb shelves! and she stares into space alot too. but her wierdest habit is scratching the floor like she's digging outside.
