I think you are looking at it the wrong way. Global warming is the larger picture of localised pollution. Why worry about whales and coral reefs? Because they are signs of a much larger scale problem. If your hause is burning, may be that's the thing you care about at the moment, but then, what if your whole city is on fire? What good is it to worry about just your house if your whole world around you is destroyed? Or what good is it to live in a clean and unpolluted city if it gets beaten every year by bigger storms and huricanes produced by global warming? I think smog in a city in a developing nation is just part of the whole problem called global warming, and I think whatever you do to stop smog and pollution in a city will also help stop or slow global warming, which will make everybody's life better.

It's all connected. No one absolutely no one denies that pollution is a problem across the board, here and abroad.
In this country we've been dealing with pollution issues seriously only since the 1970's. The United Nations has programs addressing pollution.
It's not a pollution or global warming situation. It's the same planet, the same attitude, the same desire for profit and a western lifestyle that led to the problems we face today.
We "bother" about global warming because we want a planet suitable for people to live on one hundred years from now. We can survive pollution, with increased cancer rates. Humanity cannot survive a moderate or worse-case scenario relating to human-caused climate change.

I agree completely! I have always thought the environmental movement is wasting time worrying about global warming when they can point to a much more direct, immediate threat that is killing people now, which is good old air pollution. If they concentrated on that, they could help the global warming thing too and not be distracted by the loons who say it's not real and the rest of the people who just don't care because it's hard to understand and so gradual.

it is that this sort of Goreish farce. very final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days grew to become into particularly cooler then distinctive 3 hundred and sixty 5 days by way of certainty the 1930's. What ought to happen, and actually some have made comments approximately it, the foremost significant polluters ought to desire to end polluting era. i'm centred on a air purifier, in great condition earth, yet to word "worldwide Warming" as an excuse is a farce. If we and yet another "rich" usa (the u . s . isn't too rich optimal magnificent now) attempt to regulate atmospheric circumstances, that are an impact of a million% or much less if we stopped each motorcar and production unit indoors the worldwide from polluting, will bypass broke attempting end "worldwide Warming"! placed funds into determination gas factors, hydrogen and nucuelar, no longer ethanol or "worldwide Warming" prevention. A by utilising employing made of "worldwide Warming" saving, is now food shortages as vegetation are used to offer gas particularly of food. thank you to bypass Al.

The direct impact of pollution in developing nations is a direct result of meeting an economic demand, cut the demand and the problem resolves itself.
Require uniform world environmental quality standards would be a neat idea, enforcement would be impossible.
So, the best way may be to look at the problem as an economic opportunity, there is money to be made in cleaning up a mess and everyone benefits...suddenly a disaster becomes an opportunity, it's all in how you look at it.

Most people that care about global warming also care about problems associated with smog (they are related). In fact, reducing smog locally is part of a larger-scale effort to reduce the impact of global warming. But, because everyone could feel the impact of global warming, appealing to them will hopefully initiate change in some of these local areas as well.

it costs money to advertise. rich people in the US Canada and Europe can afford it and right it off as a tax break. Some random guy in India is too busy worrying about starving to death to worry about what he breaths. If they made solar ovens for the same $100 that they are spending on laptops for the poor, it would help SO much.

I suspect the reason lies it the fact that the politically driven scoundrels behind the myth of global warming are far more interested in retarding the throttle of American prosperity than any environmental concerns.

You know the scientist have this global warming. It could be possible that it is a conspiracy and we cannot stop it so they try to enjoy our planet as much as possible. They want us to do the same maybe. Or we just lack political will.

We cannot do anything about "global warming"..period.
It's biblical prophecy...it's already written...it will be done.
The Earth will be destroyed by fire the second time.
Read the book of Revelations....It's unfolding right before our eyes...word for word!
