If the " ! " symbol has an open circle, then a closed circle around it (O) it means there is a brake problem. it could be anything to do with your braking system. Most often it means that your emergency brake is slightly on. Try moving the brake lever to the lowest position. It could also mean the switch is defective. Anything other than the emergency brake being slightly on should be checked out by a mechanic.

If the " ! " has what looks like a tire around it ---- put some air in it. (normally 32psi)

Tire warning light. One or more of your tires is low on air. Suggest take it to your nearest Toyota or tire shop check to see if your tire is losing air. FYI, My understanding in 2008, every vehicle sole in the US is required to have a tire monitor system.

Your tire pressure is not up to the appropriate level. Check your tire pressure once more and fix it right for the sensor to go off.

My Toyota also showed the same signal and the solution was getting the correct tire pressure. Bravo!

Check tire pressures? or check gages? Most all new 2007 and newer cars have air pressure monitors. Most the time a tire has a nail in it and pressure has fallen below 29 psi.
