Has anyone here had a special event or occasion that was not at home (like a wedding, party, birthday etc) were they put there baby or child to bed? i am asking this because i am going across state to a wedding and the wedding reception will be at a house and i am probably going to hire a babysitter. the host of the wedding is going to let my put my son to bed in a bedroom in the house.

I've never done it. How old is your son? Can he stay home with a sitter? A reception just is not a place for small children. Couldn't you skip the reception or at least leave early? You could drive him around in the car to put him to sleep then bring him back in the house if he is a toddler. Good luck.

I would take along a pack n play or something like that where your child can sleep and be safe? You can also hire a babysitter- a teenager to just stay in the bedroom with your son- have a television and things to do while you visit with friends and family.... Also, the one step ahead catalouge has inflateable toddler beds that might be an option too.....

If he goes to bed with no problems at home, he shouldn't have too much issue with this (as long as he runs enough during the day and is tired). Has he ever spent the night at Grandma's house? How did he do there?
