Art is not just about picasso, leonardo da vinci, van, dali or michalangelo, there are many more legends.. look beyond..!

Pick any of the ninja turtles. They were all named after famous painters. Out of them all I like Michealangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci.

Rembrandt is known for his portraits
Picasso --Guernica is his most famous painting
Van Gogh (highest auction price for a painting)--Expressionist who used odd color combinations that vibrate
Vermeer--his small paintings of domestic scenes use soft colors the daring use of double and triple shadow

whats good about these two is they are so opposite. Michealangelo didnt really paint on canvas, van gogh did- there style is completely opposite, how they were viewed by the people of their times is si different. and they both are the most widely recognized artists - who doesnt know starry night or the sistine chapel?

Did you know that Picasso once held the 'best known name' title in the world? This title is for all walks of life...people knew his name even if they didn't know what he did. M.Ali also held the title once. I don't know who holds it now; maybe Paris Hilton? Anyway, thatgirl, you will get better inspiration from an artist you personally like than the most famous. Maybe you'll like my work?
