I have a landscape start-up that I AM WILLING TO WORK JUST AS HARD AS ANY IMMIGRANT.

Let's put our money where our mouths are.

By the way, I am a hard working WHITE guy and son who don't think labor is beneath us.

I am a college educated man my friends and am just tired off working in the stock market. I am trying to help my son and show him how business works.

All I really want from this job is some enjoyment as I do enjoy landscaping and am not afraid to work hard.

One last thing, do you guys really know how much these people are making?

It's well over what most college grads are making.

i'm not everyone,i'm a woman and did house painting for a second income for awhile, and for a year i was self employed .i've done housecleaning also,i've dug my own drain system and put in landscaping rocks (took me 2 months).not all mexicans want to come here to do labor jobs either.they want an opportunity to a better life, some would like to go to school, have better medical, have their families be safer.i feel if everyone, abids by the same laws and pay into the system.America can support the "melting pot" it began.i was employed by hardworking white men,i'm a skinny african american woman.they gave me a chance to work for them.they knew everything from electrical -to replacing tiles.i was not just an employee, but a student to them.not only did they give me fair wages, through them i still save money years later with what i learned from them. i may not touch electrical ,but many things i can do myself and use that money from more serious repairs i wouldn't dare touch like :electrical. i have even cool-sealed my own roof, and helped freinds do theirs.i will always be grateful to them for the chance to be more independant. take care!

People amaze me with this talk about getting a college degree to make big money. I guess you haven't paid a sub-contractor lately have you?
Americans do physical labor everyday- my husband is at home right now setting walls for our garage and goes back to work tomorrow doing electrical contracting.
I mow the yard and trim my hedges and lots of people who are not illegal immigrants do landscaping work.
You know the difference- Americans provide their own equipment- they show up at the job site ready to work. Nobody has to give them tools to work with and chances are they won't be drinking on the job as the Mexicans in my area are prone to do. ( My husband can't stand to work with them because they start drinking on the job)

People have no real clue what physical labor pays anymore at all- all people scream is go to college so you don't have to do physical work.
Some people actually enjoy breaking sweat- be thankful they exist - those of you foolish enough to think only illegals care to work will need us sweaty Americans one day- when those illegals are given amnesty and start competing with you for your office job .

I think any citizen who works hard should be proud no matter what job you're doing. A college degree just means you happened to have more money than someone else who couldn't afford it. It doesn't make you better than others or raise your value as a human being.

Good for you. I recently hired a contractor to do a small repair job. He was an elderly white man, who was very thorough, very particular, and very good at his work. His helper was a white man as well. The helper was also his nephew and seemed to be mentally challenged.
Now I know of four good, hard working, white Americans.

Funny, some of these people think doing landscaping is less than noble or is low paying. I have a friend who does landscaping and earns $75-100K/year...AND LOVES WHAT HE DOES.

By the way, I would hire you over ANY illegal...I do not care if you are white or not. The guy who does my yard is Itallian, but HERE LEGALLY!

I would hire you if I could still afford my old house in L.A.After we sent all of the good manufacuring jobs out of the country we had to sell out and leave the whole state od Cal.

You wanna build a brick wall at my house in sunny souther california in the middle of summer later on for 6.50 a hour?

immigrants get the job because they can handle the low pay and long hours. others can't. besides it easier for employers to take advantage of ppl like that, i doubt you would stay with an employer who has u working long hours without holidays off and low pay

Any day of hard work , is worth more than waiting a month
for the illegals to get tossed.
