My supervisor passed around his daughter's girl scout cookie order form thing and I ordered one box of cookies and so I waited a while and I saw him pass out other orders to folks but never recieved mine so one day I confronted him about it and he told me his car got burglarized and that his trunk was messed up and could not get into it and supposedly the my order was in the trunk. So I was nice and said ok well whenever you can get them will you give them to me he said yes. Well its been since Feb now and I confronted him a few more times said he still couldn't get them. Now I am fed up so I would like my money back, I just don't know how to approach my supervisor about it without being mean. Any ideas of what I can say??? Thanks!

Yeah I know I agree with you Charlie. Yeah its only 3$ but he said he'd refund it or something last time I asked him but wouldn't you think ( a supposedly responcible adult) if he said that he'd actually come to me and refund me for my 3$, not keep putting me off??? Thats what I mean I remember him saying something about refunding I just don't want to be rude about it.

If I were you, I would see that $3 as a credit for a.) the next time that his daughter is selling cookies, you've already paid, so... or b.) the next time the office sends out for lunch, pay $3 less and ask if he could chip in that $3.

You know what, you are right and so are the other guys who answer your questions.

As a matter of principle you are right. But is it now a question of right but a qtn of forgiving and let go over a small issue that is not worth creating bad blood.

Just let it go , imagine that you bless this entire thing with sincerity because you hv done a good deed that will go a long way , one day the good karma will return to you.

But you need to give sincerely. Move on with life, dont stress over it, its not worth for yr state of being.

I wish you well

Just dont do him any favours like ordering cookies from his daughter. Its a small thing to get mad about, but it should still be fair! His bargain was to give you the chocolates or whatever and yours was to give him $3 rite? Tell him that that was cheap.

It's only one box of cookies (about $3), so I'd let it go. Chalk it up to experience and don't order from him next time. Don't jeopardize your job over a box of cookies.

If it's just one box I would say leave it alone. If he is being honest and they are stuck in his trunk, then they are surely ruined by now. If you really want to pursue it, just go to your Human Resources department and explain your problem. They will find a way to resolve the issue.

Wait until next year, and he will owe you TWO boxes of Cookies.
