My husband does not recycle and it really bugs me out. How can I get him to become a tree hugger like me...from a male "Texican" ( TEXAN) point of view"? We have lived in New England for the last four year and everyone re-cycles. He is just a high-class "Hill-Billy" that doesn't care about politics, muchless the environment!!! Help me help the world!

Tell him you'll give him a free weekend a year to go hunting or whatever he wants with the fellas if he'll do the recycling thing with you.

Buy products that are organic, made from recycled items and set up your bins (teach him to sort into them so you can recycle). Set up a compost barrel and compost food waste to plant a salsa garden - this will get him seeing the benefit of recycling a good compost barrel can provide terrific topsoil to plant veggies and herbs in and if he's from Texas he loves his chili! Don't nag just make it the only option. Good Luck!
