in that test my doctor told me that my LP(a)extended range is very high.its 58 which normally should be withing the range of 30.any one knows about it ,pls help.what can i eat & what can i do to reduce it.experts only

eat fruits and vegetables
do not eat processed foods

now, why on earth didn't you ask your doctor these questions? He is the one best able to answer them.

Why get tested?
To give your doctor additional information about your risk of developing heart disease. As part of a targeted screen for coronary artery disease (CAD) and cerebrovascular disease (CVD).

When to get tested?
When you have a family history of elevated Lp(a) levels and/or a family history of premature CAD. When you have heart disease but your lipid profile is normal or shows only mildly elevated levels of cholesterol and/or low-density lipoprotein (LDL).

Sample required?
A blood sample drawn from a vein in your arm


Basically it shows an increased risk for heart disease. Eat a low fat diet, avoid red meat entirely, exercise daily.

try flax seed oil and red yeast rice tabs...should help some...
