seriously guys, lets be mature here. instead of reporting somebody and getting them suspended, just give em the thumbs down so you don't have to look at it anymore and leave it at that.

i'm sick of people reporting every little thing..

i think even reporting people for violating the rules is dumb. i mean honestly, who follows the rules? we all speed, we all drank before we turned 21..

the only difference is for once we get to be the police, and people are abusing that power to no end!

as long as you are not being hurt by some ones comment, they have the right to say it, give em the thumbs down if you don't like it..

m. nurse:

after being reported a few times, you get kicked off. i've been suspended cause i made the mistake of taking part in some heated debates. so much for free speech, eh?

I agree with you... to a point.

If someone is violating the rules of this community, then I am going to report them. If you don't want to follow the rules, then you don't need to be here. Period.

BUT... I suspect you feel this way because so many idiots on here are quick to report anyone they disagree with. That is not right. So I am willing to agree never to report someone just because they disagree with me or say something I don't like, but if they are directly violating the rules, then too bad for them. I am also willing to not be nit-picky about the rules, too. There is a difference between letting a small obscenity slip by or being a little crude and coming on here and cursing out everyone you disagree with or ranting without a question. I'm not agreeing to much saying that, though, because I already do this.

Even so, I think Yahoo! should give people a warning or a fair explanation before they suspend accounts. They are too quick to do that, and that isn't fair either. Even if someone breaks the rules, they should at least know what they did wrong before getting booted.

If their is a techniques in the back of yahoo solutions , that's mechanical .. so why difficulty . that is not any longer basically like the standards are properly worth something . I save getting reported with the help of human beings who do basically no longer desire to be contradicted ... do no longer even ought to interrupt a rule anymore .

Good luck with that, my idea was for a separate YA for those with thicker skin, no reporting allowed, the easily offended could stay in the "kinder gentler" YA.
I'm sick of being reported because some weenie didn't like my answer, or I used the word "hell" or "jackass"
We are becoming a country full of simpering weaklings.

Nice idea, but you can't give a "thumbs down" to questions that violate or should be reported.

Does reporting even do anything? I have reported someone for what seemed to me molesting a little sister. Other wise it really doesn't make a difference that I see. The whole forum seems to be going downhill anyway.

Thanks for helping me earlier.

Sorry, Yahoo has absolutely no security, and relies on such reports to remove abusive users.

Until they get some adequate monitoring or security, reporting is required to keep this site safe and supportive for all.
